In a way that sounds very familiar: when I started, I told myself I'd keep my collection modest, small and humble, that I'd only collect some favourites from flowers, birds and Crystal Memories. After that it's been expanding every year, new lines finding their way to my wish list, and when I think of all those wonderful figurines I could have added to my shelves years I go I could just cry! I'm glad when people find joy from collecting these wonderful figurines. They're something that unites people regardless of age, race or gender. I'm glad you enjoyed this peek into my collection :)
Awesome! During my childhood I saw too many people who couldn't collect something or study their preferred language, for example, because of their gender or age. I love to see how many people can enjoy collecting anything they want these days, and face a lot less ignorant attitudes and bullying because of who they are. Personally I think every hobby is stronger if there are hobbyists from all genders and ages included.

If you mean the SCS AE Elephants, they seem to be still in stock on Swarovski's website. After they retire their prices on eBay tend to climb a bit, but you can sometimes see good deals when a collector sells or downsizes their collection. @@KMLautanen I managed to get the tiger and his baby, I'm so happy they are really stunning, and another one, a small elephant called Cinta, he looks like mandisa but he's different and very cute too !
Congratulations :) 1137207 Elephant Cinta was the SCS 2013 exclusive, and her baby, who didn't have a name, just 1142862 Young Elephant if I remember correctly, is extremely adorable!

People can get confused. I've also seen many tiger cubs sold as lion cubs, Horse Esperanza's foal is often sold as "Esperanza", Whale Paikea's baby is sold as "Paikea" etc etc. Before 2021 only the main SCS Annual Exclusive had a name. :)
Beautiful collection! I recommend using a make up brush to clean the dust off them. Your collection would look even better if they were on a white or darker shelf. The wood tone does not do your collection justice! ❤
A brushing is nice, but the current renovation of 500m2 (approx. 5382 square feet) gives me no spare time to do extra cleaning. I usually quickly rinse once a year and use canned air thrice or four times a year, depending on how much spare time (HA!) I have. With over 1000 Swarovski figurines and a house full of renovation dust and other collectibles, those open-shelved cabinets would need proper doors. Alas, no time. Perhaps in a few years. And I have heard from multiple sources that I "have" to find glass cabinets or white shelves, but in addition to security, the cold truth is that I hate modern glass cabinets and detest white colour in furniture and interiors. Fortunately the only person I have to please is me, myself and I, so nope, no alternative shelves will come. :)
@@KMLautanen I have a collection and instead of putting doors on my shelves I went on Amazon and order custom size plexiglass and just taped it with clear packing tape and so far that has kept out 99% of the dust! Is there a store in Finland that you purchase from or do you do all you shopping on Swarovski website? I’m asking because when you shop in the store the salesperson normally offers 50% off to special customers. I’m sure you’re definitely a special customer. The store I go to the girl just gave me 50% off the new cactus. I’m in love with it.
I think I'll just wait until I have time to do the doors with glass windows. If anything, having to clean up the dust gives incentive to hurry up with the swimming pool room and get to work on them. Gods know I need a little incentive when the lazy-bug strikes... ;) Finland doesn't have any official Swarovski stores. There are a few resellers but their prices are the same as on Swarovski's site. I like buying from them because the money they get goes towards employing the clerks, but mostly I'm forced to shop online. Getting 50% off is super rare even during sales-seasons, in last few years Swarovski has mostly just knocked off -30% on retiring items so you definitely got a bargain, congratulations :) I do love those cactus, the largest one went pretty high on my priority wish-list :D
(And I have to admit that the amount of dust accumulating in Swarovski cabinets is absolutely nothing compared to the dust in our library, and not half as damaging as the dust when it gets to our collection of antique mechanic toys, those need a professional cleaning which is costly. At least I can just rinse my crystals... :D)
