I'm guessing Unit 26 doesn't have the GE999 decals anymore? If so, I feel like I missed out on something big. Still exited to come see all the beautiful locos that the Umekoji Railway Museum has to offer!
this is awesome, now all we need is big boy decorated as big one, but then again imma take a wild guess and assume this won't happen for a while, but holy shit though, i am honestly kind of surprised that this railway museum did this to one of their locos, and honestly this'd never happen in the states, good on them for doing this for a small tv show that ran for about 140 ish episodes, along with a spin off series too and a 4 parter, but still.

I don't understand Japanese, but I really live the Steam Locomotives that come from Japan.
It's absolutely beautiful. I loved watching Galaxy Express 999, and seeing that this exists in real life makes me really happy :)

この機関車は旧交通科学博物館(JR大阪環状線 弁天町駅下)にあった『C62 26』号機ですね。😊
『C62 48』(原作版および劇場版)はナンバープレートのみがオブジェとして残されていて、そのオブジェも交通科学博物館にあった物でした。😊
