- ( www.abnova.com ) - The Southern blot is used to detect a specific DNA sequence in DNA samples. A general blotting procedure starts with the separation of digested DNA fragments. The DNA can then be transferred to a nylon membrane through a capillary system and detected with a hybridization probe. More videos at Abnova www.abnova.com

I just came back for the background music.
Lmao no lie
Nice video. Pls show the coloured DNA fragments too.
Great practical sir/Ma'am. Really helpful for practical hand.
Nice video! Great experience!
catchy beats yo
Nice video.
Also, I like the choice of music : ]
Can you show the results please?
Is there no addition of Detection buffer at last?Am curious to see the results for this.
I love experiments this video is useful for all the students ...
thank you too
Yes I used gel electrophoresis for proteins.
This technique was the precursor to much fancier technology now called micro arrays...Thank you Edward Southern.
Why is NaCl used in alkaline and neutralization buffers? How does NaCl play role in dna denaturation? Will neutralizing the solution not rejoin the dna strands?
To be perfect just needed to show the results at the end
what is hybridization probe of abnova that i can use to do like this video
A bit curious since there are quite a good educational youtube video, is there a way to cite them in a paper lol?
where is this song from!!!??
Ngl I enjoyed the background music
Wow, this is awesome! Makes sense after watching doing it in practice. I would like to try it out...
Though, it seems like it is a very long procedure? Several days to finish?
you probably dont care but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Christopher Otis instablaster ;)
@Apollo Lane Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now.
Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Apollo Lane It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Christopher Otis Glad I could help :D
After blotting What next
What happens next!!!!
what a good video for southern blot.
By the way, Chinese lab is so kind to public their techniques to the whole world for free of charge. It is kind of the lab.
gel electrophoresis can't be used for protiens SDS PAGE is used for proiens
@spongenooob I agree!! :D
I don't even know this shit but this was a great video
After autoradiagrahy What nex
How do I find the song in the video? The description doesn't help me find anything
all dat and i still seein a blank piece of paper????????/
*cough* autoradioscopy *cough*
what next :( ?
I did this with proteins...
Western blot? :D
online labbing in 2020;(
Gosh! Sooo long
🙂🙂🙂🙂
কিচ্ছু বাল ই বুঝি না😑😑😑
Science is still so primitive, all this just to see DNA??? and we wanna fly to mars🤣🤣
maybe you should know about about the basics before commenting on it and this technique is not what is used these days.......Real-Time Quantitative PCR is used now, which you may notice is how covid is detected
@@sukhchain9696 and we're doing so great with covid, thanks for emphasizing my point
@@swiss4ever93 Well we are primitive but not in the way you are thinking. Don't trust me just start searching on the internet about the underlying principles of these very primitive technologies you just complimented.........
@@sukhchain9696 interesting...so my class is basically giving out outdated information and links...
@@lumieredice485 I wouldn't say outdated, I am sure there are many specific tasks it is still used for, I just don't know. Maybe It's the same as how they teach us all the atomic theories like Thomas, Rutherford, Bohr's atomic models before moving to what is more acceptable today.
Some prior easier, maybe outdated/faulty stuff can help in teaching the stuff that's more advanced. A bit of history lesson hidden in all the science to honor those who spent their life for it. Or the fact that we are not ready yet to understand the more advanced voodoo magic. Maybe a little bit of everything, maybe neither of it and I am just rambling nonsense. I don't know 🤷♀, I just like talking too much.
An okay attempt at a video, but it's sooo boring and amateurish. I'll try to remember to avoid Abnova when I need reagents for an experiment whose data I'm going to publish publically....
