    💥 Full Guide on Ventilator Modes ➜ ➜ ➜ bit.ly/2Rtlgjo
    What is a Ventilator Mode?
A ventilator mode is a way to describe how the mechanical ventilator assists a patient with inspiration. The characteristics of a particular ventilator mode control how the machine functions and assists with the pattern of breathing.
    Two Primary Control Variables:
    1. Volume Control
    2. Pressure Control
What are the Primary Ventilator Modes?
    1. Assist/Control (A/C)
    2. Synchronous Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV)
What are the Spontaneous Modes of Breathing?
-- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
    -- Pressure Support Ventilation (PSV)
    -- Volume Support (VS)
What are the Secondary Modes of Mechanical Ventilation?
    -- Control Mode Ventilation (CMV)
-- Airway Pressure Release Ventilation (APRV)
    -- Mandatory Minute Ventilation (MMV)
    -- Inverse Ratio Ventilation (IRV)
-- Pressure Regulated Volume Control (PRVC)
    -- Proportional Assist Ventilation (PAV)
    -- Adaptive Support Ventilation (ASV)
    -- Adaptive Pressure Control (APC)
    -- Volume-Assured Pressure Support (VAPS)
-- Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA)
    -- Automatic Tube Compensation (ATC)
    -- High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)

As a SRT, and having closed clinicals And school during this time, I am extremely grateful for this video as well as all the questions sent to my email. It’s very informative and explains vent modes in a clear and relatable way. This semester we are actually focusing on vents and this has made it that much easier. THANK YOU !!!

I really really needed this! My professor did a great job, but with being in quarantine and not the classroom I needed this to be reiterated. With the good looking graphics and content you helped solidify what I needed to know! I appreciate everything you do for the future RT's in the world.

very helpful video, i will be rewatching this to catch up on some dusty techniques i haven’t used! i officially have been a respiratory therapist grad for almost a year come june!! I have been working as a NICU RRT the past 6.5 months and it’s been truly amazing. Although at this time it is very scary to go to work and putting myself at risk I can truly say it is worth every minute saving lives. shout out to all of you other RT’s and health care workers in general! so happy to be apart of this team :)

griselda adame Welcome to an amazing rewarding field. We may not get recognized a lot but at the end of the day we can make a huge impact on our patients. There is a shortage on Respiratory Therapist so please stick with it and as I was told as a student over 22yrs ago, take care of them as if they are your mother or father. One day it was my mother, and because I was always helping out the nurses and cna’s they came to be there for me and my mother had told me after how proud she was of me not just for the field I chose but because of my servant heart to help and work well with others. Best of luck🙏🏻💕💐

Thank you so much for posting this! With the COVID patients we are using some different modes that we haven’t used in a while so the refresher was perfect!! 👌
