Very thorough review. I just recd a Micro with white front and yellow back. I plan to attach it to the top of my modular helmet forvriding e-bikes and e-scooters. I am 79yo and ride in a high traffic suburb of Atlanta. I want to be NOTICED by car/truck drivers in Daytime and Nightime. I don't care if it looks nerdy. My safety is more important than looking kool.

Really good video. I just got my w r/y as need one for gritting in winter as am on roads sometimes (pedesrian gritter) I hadent realized it would be all white at the front but I think they are all abnoxious whichh is whats neeed. Micro isnt waterproof so no use for being out in snow rain and sleet
I don't understand why 'Amber' is not one of their options. This is the preferred color of semi-trucks, emergency vehicles, etc. Yellow is bright and orange cuts through bad weather conditions but amber seems to be good at both. Nice video!
amber looks a bit red imo, i prefer yellow because it reminds me more of amber. i recommend yellow because of the brightness and colour is really more towards an orange colour
Amber, Yellow and Orange (in this state) all have their specific uses and requirements and who can actually use it. AMBER as we know it here is specifically used for State cars, County cars, Federal cars, City cars, Utility Company cars (licensed company car), First-Responders, Tow-Trucks (licensed company car) or any person who submits the application to be covered under that specific law for flashing/stobe or otherwise a Amber Light on their car Example: Utility providers, US mail carriers (personal cars), Security cars, City Cars (road work, mail carrier, etc). YELLOW is not specifically regulated tho, neither is orange or white unless flashing on the outside or inside of a car. In which case, you aswell need a permit/license to use and a explanation. Amber however is strictly regulated compared to all the other colors avalible barring red/blue/white or combination. White is general all purpose Yellow is also general all purpose Amber requires specific licensing to use in any form on a car externally barring factory lights which are not regulated under this law, only through the DOT. So, in short: Legally it's easier to use yellow/white than amber/white or amber/yellow. Cali has regulations on all flashing lights lol... no idea why amber is so unique here. We also cannot use Red (in any format flashing, barring hazard lights or tail-lights), Green (which is used for STATE and FEDERAL fire services, and DNR and specific ATVs/Non-Road Vehciles for LE/FIRE response) or purple (which is volunteer Fire/EMS or even for Funeral/M.E. Doctor). I don't know of any other specific lights that are regulated, but the law does specify ANY color looking Red or blue, so if it's Off-Tint-Blue, that's still a no no... if it's off-tint-purple-blue, that's a no no. So, going with a specific YELLOW that looks yellow and not amber is the best way to avoid legal troubles with local/state govt offices. It's stupid, but someone, somewhere, abused the flashing lights and this had to happen.
In florida strobe green and white can only be used by on duty security. Flashing , strobbing yellow can be used only when vehicle is stopped. even driving with the hazards in is illegal/
hey david that is a great idea. i just finished testinf and the official word on this for run times is approx 1 hour on high mode with scroll on both sides plus top blinking. with other light levels i can increaae with less brightness. let them know because that is a smart idea
Dang,…. Never heard of this. I did buy those hockey-puck “flares”. I could see this being handy for halloween, parades, or marking a campsite or home for emergency responders.

Upgrade idea: .. Make it Bluetooth controllable or at lease tethered. One could be sitting inside the vehicle and control it.

its a cool device. gonna update the description with some run times for this unit. on high modes youll only get about an hour of run time.
