Filipinos were children of Spanish settlers who were born in the Philippines. You probably meant that the Spanish got the land from the Indios and the Indios were our forefathers. But if you check many of the ancestry of the Filipinos now there are many who actually do not have Indio blood. The real "aborigine and native" settlers in the Philippines will be the Aetas, Ifugaos, numads, but many of us are descendants of Malay, Chinese, Spanish, Arab, blood. Even the Muslims in Mindanao arrived in the Philippines only about 80 years ahead of Magellan with the exception of the Sultan of Sulu who predates every "foreigner" around. Is there any Filipino now who complains that his land was stolen from the Spanish? That would make an interesting study though.

First and foremost, there will be fair justice among the landless farmers when it comes to the distribution of lands. Second, it may cause to uplift the standard of living because of land award that they don't need to ask and follow the command of their landlords. Above all, genuine happiness that after all the animosity and grief, they finally free the vituperate landowners.
