I really love your RP-based approach to the game. As you have seen in comments, I have gone over many of your old play throughs. By the way, I would love to see a doomsday run from you!
2:58:42 when you are debating helping your fellow federation member vassalize a bunch of territory and propelling them forward in the score board. That made me think of something interesting… how the game puts you in competition against other empires even inside your federation. Seems to me that they should calculate your federation as a single unit. If your federation is at the top of the scoreboard then you are still “winning.” Otherwise it punishes you for cooperative gameplay by promoting competition over cooperation. I am glad you privileged RP over the scoreboard in your decision making. But the fact the game still made you think in those terms shows a flaw in the way the scoreboard is handled when it comes to federation gameplay.
I’ll always prioritize RP lol, but yea even in RP it makes sense to be competing against your fellow federation members sometimes. If you remember the federations DLC trailer, yea something like that lol. However gameplay and scoreboard wise, it should promote cooperation for sure. Especially when it comes to “winning”
Oh yeah, machine inteligence and synth empires gain more districts from their respective buildings such as energy grids and mineral hubs. Was pretty impressed when i discovered this too. If i'm not mistaking it's +4 for normal and + 8 for the upgrades.
As a fanatic egalitarian docile bureaucrat, I approve of this empire. I bet their archivists have the best repositories, they must use functional classification too. Oh, they must have sliding shelves too! What a dream, what a dream I tell you...
Great episode. Watched it twice. Well, I feel a sleep on the first one. Had to watch it again, to figure out how a bunch of peaceful bureaucrats got so powerful. You pounced Ensign wrong. Ensign a rank in the Navy is pronounced in-sin.
Don't upgrade your stations of you are not going to camp there. That first loss was because you kept going back and forth. You need a fleet on each choke point. If you lose it then keep going back, you are wasting your fleets against your own ports. Also, don't send the entire armada from one end to the other. Focus on securing one area first, capture a starbase then camp a fleet there. Combined, a fleet and starbase should be strong enough. Then you create a mobile fleet to actually go on incursions.
your problem with primatives gives me an idea for a playthrough, the ultimate "Greys" aliens who focus on interfering with and uplifting pre FTL races for good or bad purposes.
I definitely plan on doing a human imperium at some point but idk if it'll be the actual Imperium of Man. I love Warhammer as well, but like you said, it would be a pretty cliched thing to do at this point.
Since they nerfed/slowed tech, the community seems to agree that focusing unity is the best strategy, for the most part. This is for traditions, ascension, and edicts which can be really powerful.
while the unity options are varied, a good tried and true method is unity rush Discovery + Tech Ascendance for an easy +20% Research speed and other useful bonuses. After that a lot of people go Prosperity. If you play with any of the fairly popular (judging by numbers) Traditions Expanded mods, Maritime or Industry are good options as well. After that basically rush whatever Ascendance path best fits your situation or build and let the snowball begin.
@@SaintofSolI do think you should play Stellaris with the GIGASTRUCTURES mod or ACOT (only) just so you can experience the Overpowered stuff you might liked ;)
Omg, this guy is like "Your weekend is good? Here, have it better".

Good luck against them in your future playthroughs! Let me know how they fare :)
All this paperwork is a bureaucrats Dream!
A dream for sure, but the bureaucracy never sleeps… ;)

A major source of lag is the number of AI, as I've noticed that during wars they can cause lots of lag ;). FYI
I suppose I just have to.. get rid of all of them.. ;)
I know it’s done to death but can you do an empire of man a la warhammer 40k? Fantastic content btw

Awesome video.
The only way to be pacifist is to pacify the whole galaxy.
I love these videos, but does anyone know what he's saying in the intro? It's hard to make out.
"Hello everyone I'm the Saint of Sol and this video is going to be an edited full playthrough of my empire here..."
dance dance
what's the unity meta? like tradition and planet ascension rush?
