I don't believe the numbers.
I was in SF the first week of April, I stayed by the fisherman's wharf, and it was dead. Why would anyone want to go? It's an expensive city to visit, your car will get broken into and you can watch an addict defecate on the street (even though they have portable bathroom almost every block in the rough areas). Even in the nice areas at the grocery stores, all the hygiene products are locked up. So you have to get an employee to unlock them. SF used to be the Paris of the west.
Newsom will never admit that he destroyed the city. And he wants to be president.
Lots of these big news outlets have their fluff pieces.
How is union square now? I remember last Christmas they made a big deal about union square being busy.😂
They pushed all the homeless to another spot and hired more security guards.

The Embarcadero is a ghost town, downtown at 40% vacancy, over half of downtown stores are shutdown, a single person applying for hundreds if not thousands of jobs don't get a call back, more massive layoffs are to come. What spike? Lies, that's always on the rise.

I tell any friends and family members that want to visit Ca, not to visit Bay Area due to the break ins, hate crimes, theft, homelessness (sorry, I mean unhoused), high cost, scammy Fastrak-despite this place being a diverse place of people.
