  • In this episode of Baggers and BS I head over to Torque Custom Cycles to meet Marvelkid87 and have him do a review of my 2021 Road Glide CVO. Marvelkid87 has been around a lot of custom bikes and has an extensive knowledge of theses type of bikes and builds, which is why I wanted to get his opinion of my build from Get Lowered Cycles in Warminster PA.This particular bike was about 42k new and has about 15k worth of upgrades if not more. During my visit at the shop I get a chance to See the owner (Mike's) build in progress as well as a few other builds the boys at Torque are working on. As fate would have it my friend Robert was at Torque. Robert happens to be a Police Motorcycle Instructor and also has a vast knowledge of motorcycles and riding skills. Since I got a review from 1 knowledgeable individual, I figured why not get a 2nd one for good measure.

I mentioned it on Marvelkids video...the big change in acceleration is the wheels and bearings, but also you added a ported and polished manifold when you added all the HPI intake parts which adds so much to the throttle response and what not. The other thing is that since you didnt do a big bore kit you havent added a ton of HEAT to the motor as of yet. THis HUGELY assists in keeping it "touring capable". My build is VERY close to yours except I did PM wheels vice carbon and I didnt do a T-bar set yet, have hammerhead bars. I am torn with doing a bigger motor as I really dont want a ton of heat when stuck in traffic. LOVE all your choices!! WIsh I lived closer so we could hang out and kill a bottle of wine together.. 😛. FYI, they say that rotating mass weight savings is 4 to 1....so if you saved 10 lbs of weight, it equates to 40 lbs if its rotating mass.

Ty brother. I will look into the port and polishing. Yea brother nice bottle always goes down good. I’m in the same boat. I’m torn with whether or not I should do a big bar kit. If I do, I would do the oil cooler with the fans on the side that supposedly makes like a 50% difference in temperature for instances where you’re stuck in traffic.but I love the reliability of being able to tour trouble free as you said

@@Baggersandbs You already have a ported and polished manifold...it came with your HPI...it replaces the Harley manifold that is plastic....(its the black metal tube that holds the injectors...its all polished on the inside and flows better than the stock one)

You’re right, idk why i was thinking heads when you said ported and polished. Prob cause i was texting with Mike at GL about big boar kit and we discussed doing head work vs not

@@Baggersandbs I will be watching your channel for sure....as I have watched Cyclefanatix channel and he did the external cooling on his and it seems to have turned out pretty well for him....I just dont want to go big and then have my wife not want to ride because her right foot gets cooked or that I cant ride in traffic with it because when you are idling, no cooler is going to work well until you are moving and get that increased airflow (I love my Harleys, but the one thing I love about my Ducati is that water cooling works a 100 times better than just oil/air). I have an older Streetglide that has an S&S 124 that I only ride when we are definitely not going to be in stop and go literally because of the heat and I don't want to end up that way with my Roadglide as well.....REALLY wanna get honest feedback from guys who pleasure ride these big bores vice the guys who are really only drag racing them....GREAT chatting away with you...and cant wait to see what you do.

Awesome chatting with you as well. Def understand where you’re coming from. I hold similar concerns. But I will definitely be doing something. I may just be adding the oil cooler for now to see how the bike responds as far as temperature overall and then make the decision after that. And I will definitely be documenting it. Thanks for watching and supporting and commenting. !!!
