Is ChatGPT going to steal your job? Probably not. In this video I discuss the long term impacts of systems like ChatGPT, and while the market may change this is definitely incredibly far from the end of software development. Just like other fields (I discuss the automobile industry) we will need engineers to continue making new insights and iterations on the products companies create. Let me know your thoughts on the topic in the comments, I'd be interested to hear what you all think.

I enjoy messing around with ChatGPT and you're right that IT / Computer Science continues to evolve but won't fully replace us but more will help us. No need to panic...yet ! :)

Yep! The main concern is that once AI starts learning by itself... then we may be out of a job! I think one thing I wish I mentioned more in this video is that if the people building the AI are out of a job... so is everyone else in the white collar world. Interesting future ahead of us though for sure, I have an optimistic view though which is why I made this video :)

It will steal tons of jobs anyway.. But yes, developers will still exist, but... only the best.. Look at SORA right now.. it's making hollywood movies (creating new things that you mentioned) using data from the past.. it only takes a single prompt.. and we have DEVIN now that is making progress in coding..
