- Maybe you're like me and wondering what is the best lighting setup for a beginner? Join me as I DJ a wedding gig at Snowbird's Cliff Lodge using 4 Both IR4 Pars mounted on top of a Gravity Stands Flat-Based T-Bar Stand. I'm using SoundSwitch to control my lights wirelessly, and I go over how I program my autoloops, static scenes, and how I use the SoundSwitch Control One as part of my performance.

Amazing and really clever solution for an easy and practical light show!
Thank you! Much appreciated
perfect for the small gigs and they look amazing dude !! will be doing this more often !!
Awesome man! 👍
I love this!
Thank you!
Wow, those Gravity stands seem like quite the game changer! Super sleek, they seem compact and easy to transport. I may have to look into investing in these. Thanks for sharing!
They're awesome!
Nice set up for a small function. I have 16 of the IR-4 and only used like 10 this weekend for an event. I would've definitely utilized this for the other lights. I was placed in a small corner and didn't have room for much.
iv been doing something similar, but using 4 gravity stands, one on each corner of the dancefloor, with one ir4 on each and controlling with wolfmix. works very well, and i think its better than having all the light eminating from one place, also i can see the ones at the far corners during the night, so i can get a sense for if its too bright or not, or if its responding to the music the way i want.
Lighting from all directions is ideal when it's feasible.
Yep! The are awesome as par lights. The little magnets also allow for some creativity around d the room
When you can use them, they're awesome. But I'm not finding that I can use them very often unfortunately
@@DJDarylBennett I have a opportunity next weekend. It’s a 50 year HS reunion! So some chill par lights might work out perfect 👍🏽
@@FSP.Entertainment fantastic! Good luck
Great idea! Was sad to see you didn’t link the clamps you used to mount these. What clamps are these?
The t bar comes with hardware that you can use, but I think I was using these amzn.to/3WjNMpt
Hi Daryl! This is a really great video and I don't know if you will still see this comment, but I've recently got into lighting gear and DMX and I just bought a couple of Chauvet Wash Hexes and a set of IR4s. I went with the SoundSwitch Micro DMX interface and for wireless transmitters I went with Chauvet's D-Fi XLR Pack. Connecting the Hexes with SoundSwitch through the receivers went smoothly and it worked first try, but I do not know how to connect the IR4s with the Chauvet wireless transmitter. I changed the DMX address in SS and on the uplights, but my issue is that I do not know what wifi channel to use to make it connect with my transmitter, or what did you need to do for the IR4 to catch the signal from the Donner Transmitter? In your video, at around 1:30 you just mention that it just sends wireless signal to your par lights, but could you maybe expand on that? Keep up the good work, my man!
Hey man! Welcome to the party. 🎉 You'll need a donner wireless transmitter sticking out of your wash fx hex, then that should connect to your ir4
@@DJDarylBennett Thank you for the info and quick reply 👍 But will I be able to separately control the hex and IR4s that way? Shouldn't I need to have a receiver in the hex and the transmitter plugged into to SS micro DMX?
Why do you need DMX if the ir4s come with a slave mode and simple easy remote??? Also, what are the maximum hours you have been able to get out of those ir4s before the battery goes out?
Because using dmx is easier to control at the gig than a finicky ir remote. And you can do chases and be more intentional with the programming.
I’ve never had one go out a gig yet, even with 10-hours
@@DJDarylBennett 10 hours is plenty. Thanks!
Instead of screwing the IR4s onto the stand, can you use the included magnets that come with them? They seem really strong.
If the t bar were square and big enough to cover the surface of the magnet, but it’s round
@@DJDarylBennett I was thinking of doing the same exact thing with the IR4s. why spend $500 on a 4 Bar by Chauvet when you can have no dangling wires. I was just wondering whether the IR4s would be strong enough to be used as washes. Thanks
Is it easy to learn that dmx software?
I think so!
Do you know if this comes in white?
The stand and lights come in white. The tbar does not
Oh boy. Does this mean you’re going to have programs available soon? I caught the last few seconds there about your website 👀
I wanted to see if people were interested first, but looks like there is! Yes I'll have one available, more affordable than other ones I've released in the past
Here's the light show featured in this video with 4 pars:

Would this work with 2 chauvet wash fx 2?
@@jdavis8460the gravity stand? Yes. The soundswitch autoloop presets? I have a separate project for that.
which wireles dmx system did u use to get dmx into the lighting fixtures?
amazing video btw
Thank you! I'm using a donner wireless transmitter
Were you setting up during dinner?
Yes
