Taemin said that we'll feel sorry/sad for him in the mv and given how violent and possessed the choreo gets, he wasn't joking. I can't wait for the live performances as Taemin said that the story of Guilty will continue in them.

@@Yetti. I'd say guilty and rizzness which is a rap kind of song. The rest are sort of ballad like but they are really good. You will enjoy all of them. Also taemins concert is in Dec. And the shineeworld documentary movie is out Nov 3 but international fans are unable to see it.

@@maggot2259 I think guilty is my favourite first I do love all the songs but I think rizzness is my least fav. I have to listen to it more. They are all really good and great songs. He outside himself with this album
@BlueNightShineeWorld25508 Guilty is also in my top list, yea I can see the rizzness being a more than 1 listen to get into it, I think I like it alot because I LOVE hiphop and rock/metal, and it game me a little bit of a mix of both. But either way, Taemin always has a song for everyone 💞

This is why he is The King or do you see anyone else singing like this, dancing like this and making such mesmerizing music.. I do not.. I was so anxious about this comeback but he exceeded my expectation and he exceeded whole kpop .. the whole album is a masterpiece (we say this every time but this one is different) ..kudos to Taemin, still able to suprise us. I love this song.. my ever favorite title song from him was “Want” but now I have new favorite.. I so loved his song String and this now is enhancement of it. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

What can we say other than THE KING IS BACK!? I absolutely love how deep Taemin’s songs and MVs are…they aren’t just entertainment or for clicks/views, but he tells a story. He wants to make people THINK and question and reflect. This isn’t something one can watch and then move on. His concepts are intellectual and personal.
Regarding the song itself, his haunting whispers with the beautiful runs on top give me chills…the rap section was unexpected, but fit perfectly and suited the song more than I’d have imagined. I loved how the song switched gears in unexpected ways…there are certain formulas that most kpop songs follow, but this moved in ways I’d never imagined it would and it’s perfect.
As far as the choreography…holy freaking moly. I KNEW it would blow my mind…of course it would-it’s Taemin! With that said, I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t some of his best work to date. It’s provocative without being slutty. Not only that, but you can SEE him being jerked around without any hands on him at all. Around the tenth time watching the video, I happened to notice some of what the background dancers were doing (it’s hard to peel my eyes from Taemin!). There are some genius moves that add to the overall look of the stage…some possibly inspired by breakdancing and some quite acrobatic. I can’t wait to see how it plays out on stage!
All I can really say besides the King has returned is, if loving Taemin is a crime, I’m “G-U-I-L-T-Y …

Love your reactions and thoughts on Taemin’s impressionistic art. It’s eerie-ly real that’s why it gives me goosebumps just watching him. I think - Guilty explains how people are all trapped in their thoughts, that we as humans are not perfect and we don’t forgive ourselves. We might act normal outside but inside everyone of us we have this Guilty feelings that we punishes ourselves mentally. So amazing..

taemin's "advice" is the first song on my kpop playlist and watching the video over my partner's shoulder in the car one day is what led to me actually giving all of this a chance so i've really been waiting for this comeback and i am in such awe of him and his talent once again. twice was my ult group until le sserafim took over my life, but i will always have taemin to thank for bringing me into this and i have such immense respect for him as an artist

He was talking about his younger self , but yes the storyline is just like not him truly but it represents what really happened to him , he said that it feels so much like the real taemin i wanted to show you him so yeah , i think he struggled alot when he wss young and wanted to show us the pain , he suffered from alot of mental illness, he said that before and in the military, so now he is healing from the past , so he is talking to himself, the younger taemin

There is rarely a no skip album for me, but Guilty is definitely one. We see a different side of Taemin in each song, which is no less than brilliant.
The MV is disturbing in the extreme and is actually painful to watch IMHO, but I could not tear my eyes away from Taemin. The song is intense, gritty, and beautiful.

@@Yetti. No, Guilty is the only gripping piece, and if you go watch Guilty MV explainer by Agatho you'll get why it's gripping, why so many sensitives just bawled but don't know what got them
The rest of the album is fun or chill
Thinking again about how Taemin cited Georges Bataille’s “Erotism: Death and Sensuality” for this song. Bataille was particularly interested in the intersections of the profane and sacred, death and sex, taking an acute interest in the French phrase for orgasm “la petite mort” or “the little death”. Bataille was weird dude, a French mystic and philosopher. The MV makes me think of my personal favorite story about Bataille. He started a secret society “Acéphale” centered on human sacrifice. The story goes that each member of the organization agreed to be the sacrifice as an inauguration; but none of them would agree to be the executioner, so the society quickly dissolved.

How long have you been a fan?
In an interview Taemin said that this song was written in 'Advice' era and to release 'Guilty' now he had to change some things in the song. Because of that I'm able to understand better all the feelings and Taemin's struggles behind this song, since the mv to the lyrics and choreo..it kinda hurts to think about the pain he has gone through these last few years, but also amazed for the way he puts that into a song. I feel like I wanna hug him❤ missed your reactions!!

@@Yetti. usually I never cry I mostly tear up because of how good the artists is and how good the storys is in the music videos and the dancers and how long it has taken for the artists to come with a new comeback and because of how many years I have been fan of them too!!😅

If you haven't watched the trailer that was released few days before the MV I reccomend you to do it as it expands on the story more. I feel sad when i see people ignore things like trailer because they do not want spoilers because in this case, it's also part of the MV story.

Hi, i am back. Good rection, ty. Good song. On 1st listen I felt strongly like crying. The tears were held in though the whole song though. But at the end i had to wipe my eyes. I just want to hug Taemin. On my 2nd listen i read the lyrics. And after i wondered was my reaction all in my head. There are layers here upon layers. Loved the fits and makeup. Some of the subject matter was an issue for me. I know Taemin had lots of mental health issues in the military. Based on the teasers I thought he would talk about it. And it looks like he does in his own way. I really want to hear his views on this song and album. I watched Suchwita ep. w. Taemin right after this. Glad he is back giving us headaches, lol. Perfect vocals in my opinion. The feathered headband is a Native American thing for me. I feel it has an important significance. The lyrics had nothing to do with the images in the MV. I think this is way over my head and i will watch some reactions to see what others think of Taemin's msg here. Feels based on imagery. Great choreo. I'm still confused about the exact meaning, but again, there could be different interpretations as with his other songs. But from the visuals i get the feeling it refers to abuse, it can be at so many levels. It can have psychological and physical or both, you can suffer it under your own family, friends, at school, at work, in love relationships... Then who is the perpetrator? many times you can be trapped by those people, even in a group or the society, you don't even realise but by the time you realise you have been actually abused THEY are gone, who can you blame exactly? I have gone through my own dose of abuse, and after years you realise but you end up blaming yourself too, as if you hadn't known better but then you allowed it...😢 Also the images of classroom and rooms with beds, and a kid surrounded by a group...Taemin is watching him from the door as if he was watching himself as a kid... also at the end those kids in school uniforms, all spread around, one grabbing the legs of an adult that grabs his leg, bleeding... South Korea also has buIIying as endemic.. at schools (kids also teachers committing suicide as they can't either find understanding or help by their surroundings, on the contrary they are treated as the outcast and weirdos) also at the workplace, in the Military, in university... Their social rules, their stratification and obsession with seniority, comparing their ages, wealth, possessions, their marks, everything... the social pressure on kids and in general on everyone to be better, the most xx the most xx...). The crazy mix of their traditional values and the contrast to the monstruos capitalism that devours all traditional values... traditional collectivism versus wild individualism...

this is an amazing comeback, so artsy so taemin, shawols had lots of interesting theories, my favorite being that this is an interpretation of the struggles in military enlistment, young men being taken, examined and given a gun, i find it so fascinating.
P.S. Taemin and Hoshi of SVT already did dance challenge to Guilty. Also, Taemin was on Suchwita ep. 20 with Suga. Hope u watch. Oh my god i hope he does a Studio choom! gah.

Yeah this video is perplexing, but so inttense and clearly personal. Im still puzzling over what it could mean. I always look forward to your disections of the motifs and imagery! Taemin somehow outdid himself again with the vocals and artistry, he did not disappoint!

Loved your reaction because it filled some blanks I had about what the MV represents. I did feel his hurt and the song is so intense that even if the lyrics don't reallg align that well to MV it creates an intense atmosphere where he could express himself.

I guess it could be about the mental repercussions of being in the military and living your everyday life as a tool for a fight between governments in which you have no voice, spending all your time and energy learning the most efficient ways to kill people you do not use. nor do I want to hurt (could the phrase "loving you is a crime" be about having empathy and compassion for the "opposite side" in the war) and the loss of childhood and innocence it would cause. We see Taemin looking very anxious while holding the gun at target practice and even taking it out on himself through self-harm (because of guilt??) he (or someone else I can't say) then sets the target on fire at 5 :20, possibly as a rebel?? Throughout the MV there is also a theme of everyone being in uniform or boring clothes, so this is juxtaposed with super expressive outfits like Taemin in a skirt which could be a commentary on how the military steals your self-expression and sense of identity, since you have to wear a uniform, shave your head and follow orders. The first scene is quite indicative of both the loss of childhood (children's photos drawn on the wall) and the loss of self, as Taemin is sitting in a room full of colorful clothes while wearing a very simple outfit. This is just my theory, I have no intention of speaking for Taemin, especially when an anti-military concept would be very controversial and would result in a lot of hate for him. That hurt expression is unforgettable. It's a strong shock and stimulus. Taemin was the first K-pop artist I was exposed to (and became obsessed with) and he became my first prejudice (now ult) for exactly this reason. Always with you, Taemin. 🫰😍

People need to really look into this music video. A psychiatrist or therapist need to react. This is all too deliberate, too real. There are so many hints that this could have secretly happened to him. The name choice, the outfits, the hands, him in a young school boy uniform literally clinging to a grown man’s leg. Someone said that the choreo looked “violent and possessed” that trauma was real, man.
