Honestly, wouldn't it have been great if she did some kind of improv telenovela scene where she made up all kinds of crazy shit that Lady Bunny did earlier in the show? Just like accuse Lady Bunny of 10 different telenovela cliches including stealing her man and then accidentally incriminate herself for poisoning her or something. Also, when she took off the sunglasses she should have had crazy eyes.

I really didnt like it, my main issue was the mixing of the materials and the feathers looked so cheap and haphazardly glued on without any thought of figure or effect. It really reminded me of Blaire's feather look which i loved, which surprised me since i didnt actually like this look.

I'm beginning to forgive Shangela's loss because Trixie is doing such a good work now at the pit stop, she isn't afraid to speak up her mind like Raja or Alaska.
I have to commend Manila for being so poised. Everyone is clocking her on playing a "game," but she is really the only one keeping it real. You can see how everyone especially Naomi is insecure of Manila.
@@laluneroi Manila is a huge personality in and out of drag and she has been doing this for so long that she knows herself VERY well and knows how to sell herself even better. Im sure they are insecure bcuz alot of them are still very young and being around somebody so confident and well composed must be intimidating especially in a competition setting. It can throw you off big time.
Aaliyah Summerville the same happened with bebe in as3. You may not like bebe but the girl can sell you anything. She embodies confidence.

Miss G It was meant to have 5 vs 5 next episode, but producers didn’t want Val to be part of the eliminated queens so they made a non elimination.

nowadays if u just make it onto the show, you’ve already made it, so the “fire” the queens have to win their season has dulled down a lot. now it’s more about being well received by the audience, bc the shows the biggest it’s ever been and their career can do just as well without winning. it’s understandable but i do miss how “raw” and competitive the older seasons were.

Apparently people think the next episode will have the bottom four from this episode lip-sync against the eliminated queens. I think that would make for a great and tense episode, there would technically be a possibility of all four eliminated queens returning (though I doubt that will happen).
Here’s how I think it would play out:
• Monet and Manila are declared safe from the beginning because they were in the top this episode (and because they carried this roast on their backs). They would either play an active role in deciding how and who will lip-sync or they will just watch from the sidelines and maybe do a little skit like the judges do during deliberation. They are either going to play a very active or passive role in what goes down and nothing in between. There is a small possibility that a choice will be given for an eliminated queen to lip-sync against one of these two if they are willing to risk something big, but I doubt it.
• The eliminated queens will choose who they want to lip-sync against in order of how recently they were eliminated. Basically, Latrice will choose first, then Gia, then Farrah, then Jasmine will be left with the final girl. The shots of eliminated queens picking from lipstick boxes could be them choosing who to lip-sync against.
• I am not sure who will choose the songs they will lip-sync to, I see multiple possibilities. One, they could have the eliminated queens choose songs as well as choosing who to lip-sync against. Two, they could have the remaining queens choose the songs (after the returning queens choose who they will lip-sync against) to level the playing field somewhat. Three, the producers will choose so they can influence who will win because they know each queens style of lip-sync.
• I’m guessing Latrice will come back depending on her song and possibly one more girl (Jasmine or Gia). Farrah probably doesn’t stand a chance.
This could be a really excellent episode and I really can’t wait to see how things turn out. Of course everything I wrote could be completely wrong, but really by writing this I’m just passing the time until the next episode.

Manila did well but Jinkx and Alaska’s roasts from season 5 are way better. There are probably more good ones but I don’t feel like thinking of any more lol.
There's a video of the roast from season 5,6, and 8 I think and they were some greats and some major fails
I feel the same way. I like Manilla, dont get me wrong, but her jokes were mediocre at best. Personally, I feel as though Monet did a better job.
I hate when the judges laugh hysterically at mediocre jokes. This occurs frequently, particularly when they want to push a specific girl through to the next round.
Getting back to Manila's jokes...every time she would land a half baked (not very funny) joke the camera would zoom in on Rupaul, or Michelle busting out laughing. That is such bullshit, biased judging. While I don't necessarily feel as though she bombed, I was definitely NOT laughing out loud hysterically.
Kevin William yes, you get it, sis! I understand they have a narrative to push and they have to hype up the show, but the canned laughter and overall fakeness of these later seasons has really been turning me off. I’ll probably always tune into the show bc it can still be entertaining and has some gems in a few of the queens, but it’s a shell of its former self. I didn’t laugh once during this roast. But now the locals have caught on to the show so it’s here to stay lol.
@@sheamcdonough I can't help but feel as though the majority of this season is scripted. Don't mean to be negative, but that is truly how I've felt. Then to get online and learn that many others have had that very same feeling...
A perfect example of this was a couple of weeks back, when Manila and Trinity had won while Valentina landed in the bottom. Subsequently, there Valentina was trying to plead her case for staying to Manila. Here Manila stated, that she might eliminate Valentina, because she was a strong contender. Anyway, that entire conversation (including dialogue and facial expressions) seemed scripted , but with very poor acting...B-rated acting at best.
Kevin William okay maybe you don’t fully get it lol. First of all I was mostly agreeing with you, but you said scripted. That means that there are typed lines on a page with stage directions that the queens memorize, and there just isn’t enough time or money to do that for a Vh1 reality show. It is mostly STAGED tho bc the queens are put in forced situations and given a direction or general idea of what to say, but there’s probably very rarely a physical script.
Also queens have admitted to agreeing with other queens BTS to put on fake drama for the cameras. And human beings in general premeditate what they want to say in certain situations and it can then come out sounding fake/canned (ex. Ben Dela Creme) but no one wrote those words for them so it’s not scripted. A lot of what of the judges say is pretty scripted/given to them through an earpiece though. But that makes sense bc it’s a very controlled environment that pushes their narrative they want to portray. But there’s not enough time in the day to script everything the queens say outside of certain situations.
