Thanks, KP, for this very detailed and engaging review. It's actually only from your review that I found out Geely has been doing business in Russia for quite some time. To make the long story short, I just picked up my vermilion Coolray Sport Limited yesterday. Initially during the order fill-up, I asked for white but after seeing the vermilion cross our path during our test drive, it just kept popping in my head the next day. It has a sport drive so I think red is justifiable. Anyway, I'm chock-full happy with this car and my mum loves it too!

It is a bang for the buck in every aspect, the engine, the comfort and amenities, the technology, the background of the company, and in that price….
Honestly, I was hesitant to try out the Coolray at first due to the stigma, maybe I have the same thoughts as your dad, but when I saw this vid I realized that new cars nowadays deserve to at least be tested before being judged. You are absolutely right, sometimes it's not about the brand, model, or price of the car, if you try it out and it puts a smile on your face then it has to be something worth considering, bago man yan or luma, so thank you for this informative video and more power to you.

This is the longest car review I've ever watched po pero nag-enjoy ako kasi may learnings & reflections at iba talaga yung may wisdom, knowledge & understanding also wide experiences about sa car/vehicles dahil yung iba reviewers ng car ay base lang sa mga nababasa nila about sa vehicle then mag prepare ng cp or dsr camera at given na need nilang itest drive iyon then claiming nakapag review na sila noon.

As for the Coolray's durability, one example is the priest vlogger (Carpenter's Production channel) who already clocked in more than 50,000km mileage in his Coolray Sport. No major problems in his vehicle so far :)

While it is true that there are many doubters and haters of Chinese cars here in PH, I really can't blame them for the stigma due to the history of the first generation chinese cars that arrived here. Whenever I see negative comments about Geely when they haven't test driven one yet, I wouldn't bother to engage with them.
Test driving their cars will make you change your perspective about them. I'm a proud owner of the Coolray and mine will turn 1 year in February! Still one of the most worth purchases I made last year. This car will truly give you the BIGGEST bang for the buck.
That is the main reason I chose Geely Coolray over its competitors, it's value for money is almost unmatched. You get more than what you pay for.
I'm also glad to see what Geely has done to "disrupt" the current trend/market of how cars are being sold here in PH. Ever since they came in here, Japanese brands are surely feeling the pressure and I can see newer Japanese releases adding more features to the car that were previously not available on a specific variant.

Looking for other owners feedback on the brakes as i don't really like how they feel. Luckily this is my wife's car and she is very responsible driver but I'd get in trouble really quick driving it on sports mode with current brakes.

Lot of good points, and that traffic lights are a suggestion part got me laughing 4:30 in the morning. I do agree that cars now are not built to last, it's all planned obsolescence, why are car warranties 3 years or 5 at best? Im also loving everything Geely is offering, i'm also hearing about a sedan to be released soon. Good for competition, made toyota release the Toyota Raize just to compete with this market.

1 year owner here! No regrets so far! Magastos sa gas kasi labas ako ng labas hehe
Choices ko before City RS(2nd option: Honestly pogi nito and It's a honda. I think I wouldnt regret it if I bought this as well), Territory (Test drove this first before Coolray. Nung na-try ko Sport mode ng Coolray, iwan na agad territory haha), Cross (Walang laman..) Rush(Wala ding laman..., mahal), Stonic (too small), Okavango (Then: Too big, Now: I would trade in if possible haha)
Sa mga nagsasabi na in 5 years tignan natin kung okay pa din bla bla blatoyotanumbawanblabla: Normal lang naman masira ang gamit over time, and in 5 years I'll probably change cars as well

Just like I thought, a review for other geely models will follow after trying one hahahaha. This brand is rapidly growing here in the Philippines. The only reason we are not buying a geely is that outlets/service centers/dealerships are not yet reaching the Barios.
Anyways, you are really good in explaining things that some people has a dilemma on or simply do not understand, especially when it comes to the matter of buying china branded cars. Props to you Sir King Panda.
But I think the tester unit you were using was the limited top of the line. As far as I now, There are currently 4 trims:
1. Comfort (base trim)
2. Premium (midtrim)
3. Sport (top of the line)
4. Limited Sport (top of the line FOR NOW, but limited up to several units only)

Geely cars are really good when it comes to techqui thing, but most of the future concerns will also arise in those tech features. Kasi po once magka prob sa mga tech n yan, it means money.
Not to mention pa ung sa tlagang concerns sa vehicles like the maintenance, tires, engine, brakes, paints, scratches...
Baka in the long run maka dagdag pa sa mga gadtusin ung mga tech features na yan.
