i have a friend who lives really far away from me, and he texted me one night after a bad day. i had had a pretty bad day as well, and i said to him, "well, mayday parade is my best friend tonight, especially bruised and scarred." to my surprise, he responded with, "im listening to that exact song. right now." it may not seem like much, but it was the one connection with one of my best friends who lives across the country, and it still means the world to me.
This song depicts one of the main reasons that divorce rates are up. And divorce rates being up means more families are being torn apart. That being one of the main reasons that suicide rates in teens has sky rocketed. I hope that you and your friend are well and don't contemplate such a selfish thing as suicide. But at any rate, you have my best wishes.
