Hi Julie, lovely fabrics and plans for them. Sounds like you went on the best day 😊 crowds put me off too 🙃
I think the event has grown a lot and they potentially need to find a bigger venue so it’s a better customer experience
Gorgeous haul! I love your fabric choices and look forward to seeing your makes from them! ❤
Thanks Sarah, looking forward to the double bank holiday weekend and some quality sewtime 🤩
If I’d seen that Lady McElroy fabric I would have nabbed it very jealous! The DVF looks excellent. I’m going to make it soon as I loved it in the seventies and still love it. I know how tired you were. I sang in a choir concert that evening and could barely walk home after standing on stage for two hours.
,
Oh my word Sue, I don5 know how you stood for 2 hours singing, after walking around the business centre all day. Sorry you missed the Tokyo remnant. I would have bought the latest version which had the gold threads running through it if I had denied rummaged in the remnants bin first! I hope you managed to find som3 beautiful fabrics to take home 🥰😍
Love your fabric combinations - looking forward to seeing them made up.
Thank you so much Eileen 🩷
Hello lovely Julie, yes the jacket will look beautiful in beige linen ...maybe even a long coat 👍....can't wait to see what you made...🤞we'll see it soon...bye Angie 🙋♀️
Thank you Angie, I’m looking forward sharing my makes with you soon 😍🤩
Thank you for sharing your day and the lovely purchases you made 😊
Thanks for checking in 😍🥰
I really enjoy your vlogs Julie. Love the khaki fabric and will look forward that beige jacket, sure it will look stunning. Essex, I just assumed you were up north. I'm Essex, will keep a listen out for your voice 😂🤣. You've always got a smile, thank you ❤xx
Thank you Linda. I was born in Sunderland, left there in my late teens and moved south. I’ve been in Essex for about 30 years
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes I'm in SWF, can't believe you've been an Essex girl for 30 years with that lovely accent ❤. Hope I bump into you one day, would love to say hello 🤗. Can't wait for the next vlog with all that lovely material made into outfits. Much love xx
Wow, you got some great bargains there. Gorgeous fabrics and lots of plans.
I’m doing a makes list ti keep me focused! I’m loving the bright bold colours 🤩😎💕
Oooo loving those liberty fabrics. That dress in the background is stunning Julie. You need to get yourself on the sewing bee. That nightlife Tokyo is so pretty. Love the linen too. I'll catch the rest tomorrow as I need to get ready for the stitch festival 🥳🥳🥳
Have a wonderful day 🧡🩷🛍️🛍️🛍️
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes it was fabulous, but mostly because of the people we met. I got some funky cord, but it hasn't got any stretch, so I don't think it is going to be any good for the isle pattern xxx
Just so envious of where you went to get that amazing fabric, your colour palette is mine so completely, the ( coloured floral😂) is to stick your elbows out to get😅, to fight for 😮can't wait to see All made up in a amazing mix and match wardrobe luv luv luv them all ❤❤❤ thinking you might get the idea l am soooo happy for you and 😢 they aren't mine. Enjoy sewing them all, regards Diana from NZ 🎉❤🎉
Hi Diana. I recall Stacey mentioning your colour palette when she made the mallard coat so I can see why you’d like this haul!
I’m itching to get them on the cutting table and start wearing them.
I don’t have any decent fabric shops near where I live, almost all my purchases are online so you can imagine the sensory overload 🤯🤣😍 it will be great to have a summer capsule wardrobe in those colours 👌💕
Hi Julie, you have chosen some beautiful fabrics, they are going to make amazing garments. ❤❤
Thank you Janet, I’m really loving the plain bold colours this season 💚🧡🫶🏻
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes Can’t wait to see them made up xx
Beautiful fabric choices Julie xx
Thank you Caron 💕🩷
Julie, I love the top you’re wearing, the colours & print are beautiful. ❤
Thank you so much! This was one of the first tops I made when I started sewing about 4 years ago. The colours (and seams) have lasted so well after so many washes. The French Terry was purchased from @UKStretchFabrics 😍
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes Thank you so much ☺️
Julie, I feel famous!! 😊. Love your Tokyo nights fabric- and at remnant price - what a find! Cant wait to see that one made up. X
Well you are famous! I see you made it into the sewyellowforendo party vlog too 😁🤩😍 vlogger in the making 😁😍
Thanks for another lovely vlog Julie, it was great to get your feedback on the show as my friend and I are going Saturday 😊
Have a brilliant day Elaine and happy shopping 🛍️🥰
Beautiful fabrics 😍 can’t wait to see what to make with them. And thanks for the chat this morning 😁 it was so nice to “meet” you ☺️
Thanks Karina, it was a fun zoom call 😍 looking forward to revealing our plans 🩷🩷🩷
What a great haul! I’m going on Saturday, I’m so excited but dreading the crowds 😅
I do have a bit of FOMO as so many people that I know will be there on Saturday but the crowds just tipped it for me to resist the weekend pull. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time! Happy shopping 🛍️😍
I’m going on Saturday too - unfortunately it was the only day that suited the small group I’m going with. Very excited but like you I’m not looking forward to the crush 😂
We went last year on the Saturday. It was extremely busy and felt too hemmed in so we've stuck with the sewing for pleasure show this year, which is half way for us to meet up. Your fabrics are beautiful 😍
I am not sure I would do well on the busiest day of the event. I haven5 been to the sewing for pleasure show…maybe next year 😍💕
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes they've just announced a winter one :)
@@gingerninja_sews my wallet just groaned 😍🤣🤣
I can't wait to see yoir green Odyna! Just finished my first one and I love the pattern
My pattern paper has finally arrived so I can get it traced out 😍👍
Oooo lovely fabrics 💕
So many bold colours to sew up 💕👌
Lovely vlog and I also saw this amazing nightlife in tokyo fabric at the mcelroy stall - I now regret not getting it lol. I so agree with you - I normally go on the Thursday or Friday but made the mistake to go on a Saturday this time ! Way too many people, never again lol I did have a good time overall though and enjoyed sharing what I bought in my channel too. Those buttons from Ethel & Joan are sooo pretty too!
Ah thank you Kady 😍 I did get a bit of Saturday FOMO as the event was teaming with vloggers who I would loved to have met but I put my sanity first 🤣
I really enjoyed your video,thank you.🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much 😍🤩
Love love love your fabric purchases, and those buttons!. I also really like bright colors and I can’t wait to see your plans made up. I think the cape would look beautiful in the linen you purchased for a steal!
The buttons are so gorgeous! I did look T the cape pattern tonight, tracing those overlayed peace’s may take some figuring out but I’m sure it will be worth it 🤩😍
What a shame I didn't see you! Looked out for you though. It was really busy for a Thursday, I was quite surprised. Like you, I found it difficult to look at some of the stalls and also enjoyed the vip. It was a nice quiet place to get a cuppa. Managed to control myself and bought only 3 fabrics 😮 love the colours that you gave bought! Can't wait to see them made up. Xx
There were quite a few people I didn’t get to see, I was also surprised how busy it was. The VIP lounge was a lovely quiet space to retreat to and just relax over a cuppa 😍 you were very restrained unlike myself 🤣🤣🛍️🛍️
Lovely to see your purchases. I missed seeing you on Thursday. It was a great day wasn’t it, but busy.
It did get quite busy but it was a great event 🥰👌
Great haul Julie, I went today and didn’t find it to bad, so it may have been quieter than Thursday. I love your lime green fabric. Look forward to seeing the wide leg trousers x
Great to hear you visited stitch fest today, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. 🥰🫶🏻
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes I did it was really good x
I searched my subscribed list, looking for you, Julie, but you weren't there. I was sure I'd subscribed to your channel! Maybe it was the glitch that a few vloggers have mentioned lately. Anyway, you're there in my list now. I wish I could get to some of these shows but fellow sewists are few and far between up here in Northumberland and travel is so expensive. 😥
Glad you found me again Liz. I’ve lost a couple of new to me vloggers that I thought I’d subscribed to it’s probably glitches fit to the sheer volume of people on the platform at any given time.
Transport is ridiculously expensive, I know it’s a barrier for a lot of people which is such a shame 😟
Loved watching your vlog Julie and your fabric choices are gorgeous. Can I ask what is your top pattern as it looks great ? xx
Thanks Alison. I traced around a worn out favourite RTW sweatshirt and cropped it a bit so it’s pretty much self drafted. The fabric is from UK Stretch Fabrics 😍
Love all the fabrics but would kill for the biscuit linen bargain! why do so few places stock fabric like that?? Also adore the green floral. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Serious FOMO. 😊. Lynne
I know what you mean Lynne, there were very few stalls with good trouser weight linen fabrics, I do love the 5mtrs of linen. That’s the best bargain I’ve had in ages 😍
Hey hun
I want that London fabric babe. The first one is divine.
Oh my god love love love the floral one. Mum is in love with it. ROY ROCKS
I love the night life Tokyo
It’s shimmy is that Remmie.
Ohhh the lime green for the fibre mood adina will be PERFECT (I know what it is)
That is a nice custard hun and nice weave.
That flicked linen is definitely gorgeous - I think I wouldn’t be able to wear that in a storm I’d me so cold 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That oranger goes perfect in Tokyo 😊 and the buttons man. Nice job.
Love the Ethel and Joan buttons
Come shopping with me and mum we can’t teach you how to hustle.
Recognised by your voice 🤣🤣 that is so what someone would say about me 😂
Boobage…. Think your Mr C would love that 😂😂
Put it on and we can do a messenger call and I can sort maybe ok.
Oh yes an amazing pair or PM pants - yes I’m dying to see your Frugal sew.
Cause I was still watching - cheeky tongue 👅 at the end 😂
💕💖🦩💕💕🦩
Makes me laugh how you scribe your way through the vlog 🤣🤣
I’m happy I got a good mix of plains & patterns and surprised I haven’t bought any stretch fabrics which is what I’m usually drawn to. You need to record eachother hustling , I’d love to see that 😳😍🫶🏻🩷
