Sewing for Pleasure 2024 catwalk and shopping haul! 🤩

On Saturday I went to the Sewing for Pleasure show at the NEC in Birmingham. I walked the catwalk for My Handmade Wardrobe and the Dressmakers' Ball. Plus I did a bit of shopping!

Great vlog. Love all your bits you got at the show, I was there Saturday and am going to the Stitch show in London on Friday 🤦‍♀️😂. This was my first time at sewing for pleasure, I’ve been to the Festival of Quilts before but thought this was a lovely show, I think my favourite is The Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace, it’s such a beautiful building and if it’s a nice day you can eat your lunch outside looking over London, plus lots of lovely exhibitors

H Kate, loved to listen to you this morning and enjoyed your round up.
I would be your ‘sewing Auntie’ who would love a niece or even a daughter (I have 2) that wants to go to the shows! I just love a good show but here in Northern Ireland we don’t have many. I travel to UK and have enjoyed quite a few over the years.
I love that you didn’t buy lots of fabric as I am like you and don’t need any more 😅 just need to get some used up.
It’s just the buzz and seeing like minded people getting into their happy place and the catwalk is just fab watching ordinary people strut around in the best clothes possible ❤

Thanks for sharing your show story and haul, I really must organise myself to go next year. I second the titanium rotary cutter blades, love mine. And Quilted Bear are great, I got a mini iron from them as it was great value. Enjoy your purchases
