As someone who has done 15 cruises from America and Canada, it is always heart-breaking to learn of cruise ships broken down. They are a wonderful work of art and provide a place for very diverse crowds to meet. If at all possible, this cruise ship should be turned into a hotel or at least some 'cruise ship museum' .

In my very first cruise in 2008, in a public 'show' in ship's theater, a guest speaker was talking about a ship he used to work in. He showed slide-shows of that beautiful ship and at the end burst into tears on the stage because that ship was sent to some place like Gadani to be broken up. All the audience clapped and cheered him. Ships become homes for the staff and even for passengers; just two years ago, I stayed on a ship for a month almost non-stop. The staff became the family and ship became my home. I miss all that so much!

This is called decommissioning. The ship has reached its useful life and it needs to bee dismantled as any hazard can happen due to this. Like he said 1993-2021 29 years is enough for a ship.

As lot of peoples suggest in this forum for this ship to be used as travelling for Haj or umrah this is not possible for simple reason that this ship has reach its voyage life every ship has a its journey life which this ship has passed..otherwise the owner or the company who own this would not have sold this to be dismantle...Yes this ship can be used as a tourist attraction for Krachietes only on anchorage...where its rooms can be used as a hotel and restaurents can be served for public eateries...but only when its parked ...it will not be suitable for sea worthy..
