Looks like you had it on auto sensitivity mode vs highway. Putting it on highway as a default would more reliably alert you earlier to Ka sources. It will of course do the same for k which can be annoying but it will learn those over time and quite down.
Ah! See now I thought that highway mode put it at a more sensitive setting. KA sources are the ones to watch out for.
@@kpboix99 Auto mode doesn't affect Ka band's sensitivity; only X and K. If you are in Texas, disable X band.

The live KA signal just means that another escort live user picked up a KA band in that area. In most cases the cop will have moved by the time you get to it.
I’ve noticed that! When I’m running the app it will say how long ago someone else’s radar picked that signal up too.
Although rare Auto lockout been known to lockout rear police radar, rather do it manually.

@@bishopgeorge1333 it’s really useful going long road trips. I usually drive about 3 or 4 hours from where I am at once a month. On that stretch of I-20, there are cops hiding at the top of on ramps. The detector will point to where the laser is being shot from. Even though the speed limit here in Texas is 75mph, you find most cars and even 18 wheelers doing an average of 80mph. With the escort redline turned on plus the Waze app open, there is a lot of information to keep you safe.
Does it automatically update when there are new updates?
It updates after you set it to connect to your WiFi. The first batch of updates were usually done once a week on Tuesday’s, a bout a 1 minute update. Lately, I haven’t got any updates.

I have both. The Redline is definitely better. Way less false alerts. Not to mention wifi, bluetooth and auto lockouts. Its more expensive because you get more features.
