NFS 4: High Stakes:
Pro Cups - Pro Cup events are restricted to a specific manufacturer and only take place in the three Raceway course variations of the game. The winner of a Pro Cup is awarded a bonus car that corresponds to the vehicle class that the event is specific to.
Test Drive - Test Drive allows players to a select a car and take it out for a drive on a course. This is also the only mode where the police helicopter unlocked from Hot Pursuit mode can be used in.
NFS Porsche Unleashed:
Capture the Flag - Players compete to collect flags around the map.
NFS Underground 2:
Street X - Players compete against other racers in closed circuits along tight corner roads with a set number of laps.
Underground Racing League - Players compete against other racers in a tournament on a closed race course. Racers get points after each race based on their position. The winner is the racer that has collected the most points after the final race. Each URL win unlocks a car in the car lots.
SUV Events - A selection of circuit and sprint events where only SUVs can race. It is available in Career Mode if the player is driving an SUV. It is also available in Quick Race mode if the player chooses an SUV to race with
NFS Most Wanted Beta:
Cash Grab - Players must find and collect a series of pickup items before the timer runs out within an enclosed area.
NFS Carbon:
Canyon Duel - Distance-based two player mode
Canyon Drift - Drifting-focused sprint races
NFS Pro Street:
Sector Shootout - Up to eight racers take part in a race split into four sectors with points awarded based their time through each section
Speed Challenge - Players race with up to seven other racers on a closed race A to B course. The courses are generally designed for players to hit very high speeds.
Top Speed Run - Players race with up to seven other racers on a closed race A to B course. Several checkpoints along the route record each driver's speed.
Wheelie Competition - Racers face off against each other in a knock-out tournament. Two racers at a time race against each other to see who can perform the longest distance wheelie.
NFS Undercover:
Highway Battle - Players have to battle against their rival as well as congested traffic and cops in outrun events along the highways of the Tri-City Bay.
NFS Hot Pursuit 2010:
Gauntlet - A racer has to beat a target time along a route under by the SCPD.
Arms Race - Racers compete along a point to point sprint to a finish line with equipment.
Most Wanted - The racers have to protect the most wanted racer, and the SCPD have to bust them.
NFS The Run:
Battle Race - The player races with three or more rivals in a sprint race with the task of overtaking and maintaining a lead over each rival before time expires.
Need For Speed 2015:
Drift Train - Beat the target score by drifting in line with other racers.
Gymkhana - Beat the target score within the time limit. Points are earned by performing drifts and jumps.
Touge - Accumulate the highest drift score before reaching the finish line.
NFS Payback:
Courier - Reach all targets before time runs out.
Bait Crate - Find a hidden crate and reach the escape point before time runs out without being busted.
NFS Heat:
High Heat - Compete against multiple racers at night and survive what the PCPD can assemble.

Hello guys, so this time I bring you Unique Game/Racing Modes In NFS. From driving a helicopter to most wanted mode from NFS Hot Pursuit. Hope that new NFS game will have some unique game modes. Hope you like it.

The sound comes from Porsche 928 actually it is called GIN_POR_928.gin which is in the sound files by default but unused. You can used it by using NFSVLTED.
The PC version of Porsche Unleashed has a hidden demolition derby that can only be accesed with a cheatcode
the race always takes place in the skidpad, in this mode the game awards points every time the player rams the ai cars

canyon duel just hit different
NFS Carbon by far wins here in terms of unique events for me.

@@Scuntrallappio So,every nfs game was all street stuff,with cops,rivals and bounty and all the stuff,pro street was the first one that had a different mentality,with new events and new story,it was a complete new game with a forza horizon mentality

Highway battles were the best! Love them! One of the most things I come back to Undercover.

Because it is from Porsche 928. Also in the final the BMW M3 GTR is using sounds from TVR Cerbera/Chimeara.
Fun fact you can access to the beta sound it is still in the game by NFSVLTED it is called GIN_POR_928.gin while the GTR are using GIN_TVR_Chimeara.gin, while the race version is using GIN_TVR_Cerbera.gin. Basically there is no difference between these files - only the name.

Beta one is called GIN_POR_928.gin while in the final depends what version: the street and career start used a sound called GIN_TVR_Chimeara.gin, while the race version is using GIN_TVR_Cerbera (which techically both sounds are the same just different names).
The fact that you can control a literal helicopter in Need For Speed series blew my mind
When they start to drift i can hear only one sound in my head.

Till this day, my favorite race mode in any racing game is canyon duel (carbon) and highway battle (undercover). I really love both race mode is same because it's a cat and mouse type of duel, but also different because in canyon duel the danger is coming from the zigzag race track while you also trying not die from falling off of the canyon. While in highway battle, even though it's mostly just straight road, that doesn't mean there is no danger, in this race the danger is coming from all the civilian cars that act like obstacles that you must dodge while trying to getting away from your enemy. It's just so intense and fun that I wish they would bring both back. Well, they did bring it back in The Run, both race modes. The famous avalanche race duel (canyon) and the first battle against Calvin (highway). Both are really hard race, but the later definitely take the crown for being the hardest simply because how tight the road is but that makes it fun even though can be really frustrating. But yeah, I really wish they would bring both back in future games. Hell, I would love to see both modes in other racing game
Canyon Duels are lowkey underrated.

you forgot something about Street-X, it is a race without NOS with tight corners
In U2 i usually play sprint>street x>circuit>drag>drift in this order. Ngl street x was nice and it felt rewarding to just smoothly corner and overtake in close quarters
NFS Undercover's highway battle is basically a mix of outrun from UG2 and canyon duel from Carbon
I'm sure i saw the ones about top speed challenges on most wanted before they came up on pro street

Out Of All NFS Games, NFS Carbon Is By Far The Best NFS Game In Terms Of Unique Events: Canyon Duel And Canyon Drift
That mode defined carbon uniquely in the nfs franchise. I missed the times when nfs experimented with stuff after classic hot pursuit, you got U2 celebrity street racer vibes with dvds and mag covers as well as url and street x, MW with highway checkpoint races and most importantly, cops as secondary antagonists with bounty mechanic as well as a defined cast of rivals that you raced against and a compelling story. Carbon following that story, with new territory mechanic as well as crew and wingmen with mechanics of their own, race and career. And ofc carbon's chief argument, the toge inspired canyon races and that tension racing with tense japanese music playing along. Hell the definite final race in carbon is not the sprints with stacked deck or the circuit with darius, its the new mode that carbon introduced,which in other nfs wouldn't be in the finale race at all, and it is the final challenge for players. Either a well prepared car or a skilled player who can conquer cornering and possibly overtake darius can feel the well deserved pride of winning. That feel is so good.

Canyon Duels is peak need for speed.

umm nfs world had pursuit evade race mode which was kinda unique in itself also canyon drift did exist previously as there was downhill drift in underground
Technically existed in UG2 but it wasn't a separate mode like in Carbon, where it had a separate drifting in a closed track and canyon drifting.
You forgot the random prop vehicles from NFS 2.

Video suggestion: All car list in all NFS including Overdriving Nissan edition, V-Rally and lost Motor City Online, every brand, every model, version, year of production and specs.
All cars even from the rebadged forgotten NFS? Dude that will be very long plus he doesn't have the all DLC cars that some of them appeared exclusively in the consoles. Good example is NFS The Run.

I miss the street-x races, drifts racing in parking lots, sector shootouts , class racing(NFS ProStreet) and against the clock races, I would love to have prostreet and underground 2 mix together. Didn't they require Multiplayer?
You can access Lap Knockout gamemode using the Battle Royale mod (or in quick race, idk I didn't get this far in the game).
I've played through MW several times and never knew there was a cash grab game type. Is it a console game mode?
