  • How to clean and restore a preloved Chanel in lambskin. After photos at the end.
    a) Clean the bag with Apple Leather Cleaner using baby wipe. Use gentle circular motion. Let your bag fully dry.
    b) Apply matching Meltonian cream polish to your bag with a Q-tip by dabbing a little in the middle of each quilt. Then use your finger to massage the cream but avoiding the stitching as it's very hard to get cream out of stitching.
    c) Meltonian is not waterproof, so if you get caught in the rain, the pigment can come off. You could consider a sealer however I chose not to do it instead I just don't wear my bag when it rains.
    d) If you want to, you can put a neutral color polish as a last step. I've used Saphir Cream Surfine then buff after it dries.

Again thank you for this video. After watching this , I got the courage to buy a Chanel classic flap at Rebag for a good price. But of course it’s because of the scratches which I’m ok with. After my 1 LV trade, credits and rewards the vintage caviar classic double flap came down to $2200 with taxes. Price was $3800 originally.

Congrats, I've never tried working on caviar. You might want to do some research on that leather. Caviar is different from lambskin as I believe there feels like some sort of PVC coating put onto it.

It’s a beautiful color, but fashionphile is off on “very good condition”! 😳

Yeah no kidding! That's probably why no one bought it and it went for additional 30% off thus that's why I bought it.

Any info on how to fix the edge rubbings? Thank you.

You mean you have scuffs on your bag edges? How bad is it? Has the paint been rubbed off?

Really minor. Can I maybe use the meltonian polish? Did you have to do that for your corners ?

@@gc7031 yes, you can definitely give that a try. Meltonian can be used. You will need to reapply once in a while since it’s not as permanent. Don’t forget to let it dry for a day and buff.
