@@hannealbrechtsen461 Wow, how impressive!!! Instead of reading fairy tale stories about Robin Hood, maybe you also engage yourself with historical facts in Afghanistan: In 1993 during the Afghan Civil War The Afshar Massacre or Operation became an urban war zone where Massoud's Jamaat-e-Islami forces committed "repeated human butchery" against the Shia Muslims In Kabul.... I could go on and on - BUT do me a favour: inform yourself and stop worshipping criminals when it is about the lives of thousands of innocent people who were just ruthlessly killed in Kabul.

In 1993, while making one of my documentaries with Massoud, I interviewed him at length in Jabal-o-Saraj. One of the many important questions I raised with him concerned ISI and Pakistan. Massoud's answer, which included his analysis of Gulbuddin Hekmatyer, was not only valid and important for the time. It would prove true and critical many years later with the Taliban. Massoud's words are worth noting right now.

Hes been quoted as saying he wants a democracy and NOT a theocracy for the Afghan people. He withstood an invasion from the Soviet Union and the Taliban at the same time and won. He may be one of the few Afghan leaders who withstood corruption. Not to mention he was ASSASSINATED two days after 9/11. Funny coincidence internet people who cant critically think, use history, and apply politics to see that history itself is but a quorum of 'honest history'.

In Jihad against USSR he used to get dollars and weapons from ISI CIA then he started getting funds from France Iran and India. These warlords became millionaires and his son is enjoying lavish lifestyle. Panjsher is still underprivileged despite getting billions and billions of dollars from US and NATO countries. Finally All warlords are run and Representatives of Afghans are in power. This comment is offensive to afghan elites who lived all life on US dollars.

But when they supported hikmatyar more than him, he changed sides 🤷‍♂️. For me no one is a hero in the last 40 years of afghan war but only innocent afghans who have suffered and been through this pain of loss of their dignity and innocence.

the pashtuns at last learned the hard way that the taliban were not and would never represent them as they killed over 100,000 innocent people over the last 18 years. with majority of the crimes against the poor innocent people of the southern region of the country. massoud always said that if it wasnt for the direct aggresion of the pakistani government and its intelligence service he would have freed the pashtun people from the taliban. he is a national hero and history will praise him more.
