      Hi Phillip. Really enjoying your videos. My Calloway Razor clubs are 10 years old. Until recently I played socially about 8 times a year. I’m 75, retired and play now every week. I’m still very athletic for my age but my club head speed is only 85mph. So I struggle to hit driver over 200 yards. Do I need new clubs and different shafts? Thank you. Gavan

      @@gavanmurphy1381 In case Phillip doesn't answer allow me. At your age and swing speed you definitely will be able to take advantage of the new technology that today's clubs offer.
      Make sure you get a proper fitting, but you'll be able to transfer over to lightweight and more flexible graphite shafts which will not only help you gain some swing speed, but also help with older joints.
      Now that you have your new "Easiest Swing" game, it's time to take it up a notch. Obviously, I'm not telling you to spend outside your means, just letting you know that the clubs they make today could really help your game.

    What a pleasant experience it is Philip to view your videos. Your demeanor in your delivery is quite unique compared to some other channels. This video with the three elements to an effortless swing is very apropos for senior golfers. I'm at the age where I have to adhere to your advice because strength is no longer going to propel that golf ball of mine. I am now using a lighter grip, gravity, centripetal force, and club design to assist me. It's amazing, if all these align themselves, how effortless it is to hit a golf ball! Now, if I could only avoid those three putts! Well Done Philip! I am going to archive this video for future viewing!

    I get the part about relaxing and letting gravity do it's bit but how do you make sure the club will hit the same place (ball) when it comes down? I really like your swing and wish i could learn it. I started learning golf in my 40s with no background in sports and with two left feet and hands 😂. Recently I dislocated my shoulder as well so don't want to stress my body so much but still want to continue to get better at golf

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      As counterintuitive as it seems it’s about letting go of control and letting the club swing tension free - it may take a little while but soon you will hit a strike like nothing you have ever felt and your brain/body will just know it’s right. The strike will feel beautiful. As you let go of conscious control you will amaze yourself how little effort it requires. It takes a leap of faith to let go this much but once you get over the initial fear you will be astonished at how easy and natural it all feels. AND just how easily finding the perfect strike becomes easy. Good luck with it be patient with yourself as you go and I know you will find it.

    Philip , Your talking about a Mike Austin swing centrifugal allowing the force to move out and away , Centripetal is pulling the outer force in . Are you suggesting to pull the force in as it is pulling out centripetal ?

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We are not scientists but according to our research we came across several articles that had statements along the following lines:
      “Is centrifugal a nonexistent force?
      Centrifugal force and Coriolis force exist only within a rotating frame of reference and their purpose is to "make Newtonian mechanics work" in such a reference. So your teacher is correct; according to Newtonian mechanics, centrifugal force truly doesn't exist”
      This article also explains it well.
      BYJU'S www.google.com/url?q=byjus.com/physics/centripetal-and-centrifugal-force/%23:~:text%3DCentripetal%2520force%2520is%2520the%2520component,the%2520centre%2520of%2520the%2520circle.&sa=U&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwjw_L2IyaiGAxWK8QIHHdgrCLoQ5YIJKAB6BAhWEAA&usg=AOvVaw2ADop-Z7rKjWjRWfs2Aavt
      Hope it all makes more sense now.

      Great observation!! - and think you are questioning whether this is a good thing to do or not. I think this could be the single biggest myth in golf (the idea that you need to stay still). Take a look at this video - Golf was HARD Until I Changed THIS!
      th-cam.com/video/3zKhDNjUn6Y/w-d-xo.html and if you want to understand more about why/how read the new book “The Easiest Swing in Golf” which is only on Kindle right now but will be in Softback in a few days time (links in our website) this explains it in greater detail. I call it golf’s FOMO (fear of missing out) but in golf the acronym stands for “Fear Of Moving Off” be prepared to discover just how much easier (and MUCH MORE consistent) your game can become with this vital move. Let us know how you get on. Good luck!

    Well, gravity may be your friend- and, it can be used to establish the right kind of grip pressure at address- but, gravity is not a constant in the downswing. It resists against the clubhead in the start of the downswing, when the club points off to the left. And, it only assists the clubhead when the club starts to move back round to the ball, as it continues on its arc

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s an interesting point. Maybe that is why so many golfers put too much effort in at that point in the swing rather than waiting until gravity is your friend later in the downswing.

      @@lawrencecirillo3233 Well, actually, he merely explained that gravity fell at 32 ft./ sec. and Bobby Jone's club descended at 34 ft./sec. Since he immediately before that said that Jones swung at 113 mph, it is reasonable to assume he equated 34 ft./sec. to 113 mph.

      I know that gravity ACCELERATES at 32 ft./sec/sec. The swing takes less than a second, so even 34 ft./ sec. has no time during the swing to reach 113 mph. I do love your tips, my only argument is with your physics.
