KD definitely deserves some points for how vastly different the 1-2 punch is from each other. I(P)305 is an insane positive G machine, probably the most aggressively positive coaster in the world TT is an insane negative G machine, its just airtime hill after airtime hill, in terms of pure airtime, its gotta be in the top 5 most negative Gs on a coaster. That's a perfect combo. They're both entirely different experiences, and people prefer either or based on if they like airtime or intensity more.
You get your steel coaster here, and you're (heavily) modified wooden coaster on the other side. It's an obvious combination, like chocolate and peanut butter!
Yeah there are already supports laying next to the turn into the stengel dive, track for one of the raptors is also on site already through not visible from any ride yet
Cheetah hunt is such a fun ride!! Just a perfect coaster for absolutely everyone, the out and back layout is awesome, that structure before the drop is so visually appealing + it’s one of a kind! So surprised you two don’t like it more
Yeah, I don’t know about the top 3. I would take Steel Vengeance and Maverick over both of Hersheypark’s rides. Steel Vengeance is substantially better than Wildcats Revenge and Maverick is marginally better than Skyrush, in my opinion. Cannot speak on behalf of Energylandia’s 1-2 punch which looks incredible and could certainly be number 1. These two manufacturers rarely put out duds, so any way you slice it, you’re not wrong! Fun list!
I was surprised by Cedar Point coming in behind Hersheypark because in Taylor's own top 25 video, both Maverick and Steel Vengeance ranked higher than Skyrush / Wildcat's Revenge. Of course, this ranking was probably a combined effort between Sarah and Taylor's opinions, and the new Skyrush restraints have probably improved everyone's opinions.
Looks like I'm not the only one that feels this way about Skyrush. I was expected to be absolutely blown away by it by all the top ten lists it's made. Over way too quick and none of the elements made a lasting impression on me
Yeah hyperion and zadra I can't see them being better than steve and maverick, twisted timbers and p305 solid, wildcats revenge and skyrush should have been number one if not steve and maverick.
My top 7 actually very cleanly answers this question for me (if you take out the outlier from another park) 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Wildcat's Revenge 3. 305 4. The Voyage 5. Maverick 6. Skyrush 7. Twisted Timbers So the park order would be Cedar Point, Hersheypark, Kings Dominion
Hyperion has been our NO 1 coaster since we first rode it back in 2019, so totally agree with the NO 1 spot. If Energylandia had no other coasters except Hyperion and Zadra, it would still be worth the visit.
One thing as a Swiss Person and Coaster Lover I never fully understood that we have two Companies (Intamin & B&M) that build some amazing & crazy Rollercoasters around the world, yet we have here only one coaster and it's from a Russian Company, go figure, lol. I only went so far to Iron Gwazi as an RMC Coaster and I really really enjoyed it, definitely both RMC & Intamin are making some amazing Coasters these days. Cedar Point is on my "Must Visit" List, but haven't had the chance yet, I need to ride GateKeeper and Steel Vengeance and all the other crazy rides. Love your Videos btw :)
Cheetah Hunt is one of the best rides in the world. It is themed to the Cheetah run next to it, the only live Cheetah exhibit in the world that has Cheetahs racing down a track. Then the ride itself is themed to that, with its quick and multiple LSM launches and twisting terrain. Yes it doesn't have inversions and airtime hills. It's not supposed to. You really missed the boat if you don't enjoy this ride.
For me as a Dutch man, I can confirm that Zadra with Hyperion is the 1-2 punch in Europe. Yes, I love my 1-2 punch in The Netherlands but Poland has it just more with a 206 ft Hybrid from RMC and a 252 Intamin mega. Poland is definitly the best so I totally agree.
Great video, I love 1-2 punch rankings! So heres a new video idea: best 1-2 punches from countries you've been to. Firstly, it would be a cool recap of all the countries (I believe it should be above 25) you have been to, secondly I would be great to see you pick your favourite coasters of, e.g. Germany and lastly, Combos like RtH and Kondaa, Piraten and Fønix, Nemesis and Hyperia and Shambala and GCE just HAVE to be mentioned. You could also only do this with european/non-european countries. Keep up the good work!
I’ve only been to one of these parks, that being Energylandia, and both Zadra and Hyperion are so insane that it was hard to choose a favourite! (Overall, I chose Zadra because it was mental but Hyperion is awesome too!)
I’d have to have my Intamin-RMC 1,2 punch at Hersheypark be Wildcats Revenge and Stormrunner. That hydraulic launch and double snake dive inversion is chefs kiss. Plus, how can you not love “Get Ready. Here we Go!” 😅 I would agree with all of your other rankings though!
Cheetah Hunt is underrated. No, it’s not Hyperion or Maverick, but it’s so much fun and one I really enjoy. It’s very re-rideable unlike some of them that are so intense it’s a one and done, although great. I do wish Busch would have done more airtime and another inversion on cheetah hunt!
Gotta be a homer: HersheyPark for sure because I’ve never done zadra or Hyperion but man you could even switch out skyrush for storm runner with wildcat’s revenge and have an epic 1-2 punch
@CoasterStudios I know this comment is late but on your top 25 list for 2024, you had steel vengeance (#8) ahead of wildcats revenge (#11) and maverick (#17) just ahead of skyrush (#18) but the cedar point duo still ranks lower?
SteVe is probably the best coaster of the 4. But I'd put both Skyrush and Wildcat signifigantly above anything else at CP. Grant it I'm just not too high on Intaminnat CP in general, Maverick is too much about the launch, Millie is a monorail after the drop, and the others are in the dustbin of history.
I’d agree, wildcats revenge is pretty amazing but u still feel like Cedar Points combo individually beats out the either Skyrush or Wildcats Revenge. Even though I love Hersheypark.
@@urbex_coastersMaverick isn’t just about the launch. Lol. The hill throws you over so fast and is intense. It’s revered by many as the best ride at CP or the best Intamin ever. Until Velocacoaster came along. The twist and turns are awesome. Also the launch is amazing as well. Top Thrill Dragster was literally about the launch. Calling Millennium Force a monorail after it’s first drop is just an idiotic statement. It was the first Giga coaster. And it has great airtime. It’s an amazing ride still. The airtime hills are fantastic and the long bank turns at that speed are very fun.
@@bartsimpson8002 yeah Maverick does everything well, and is a decently long ride. I would dare say it’s underrated these days. A few years ago it started being the hip thing to do to discredit Cedar Point. I get that they have flaws and haven’t really pushed any boundaries in over a decade, but from a coaster stand point, their lineup as a whole is untouchable to me.
@@urbex_coasters Personally I think Wildcat is overrated for what it is. Still a great coaster, but 6th best RMC hybrid I’ve been on. Maverick does everything well, speed, airtime, lateral forces, snappy transitions, and it’s actually a decently long ride experience with the pause in the middle. And it’s still quite unique. Calling Millennium a monorail discredits the sustained speed it provides. Sure it’s been passed by and isn’t all that forceful, but the one thing it is intended to do it does at an elite level. It’s still one of my favorite night rides.
To me there's no question that Superman is better than WC, in fact it makes WC seem like a dinky little thing while somehow '305 doesn't do that to TT. Hershey seems too high, I almost prefer Storm Runner since I can't breathe by the end with the new Skyrush restraints and it's so rough now. New theme is great though.
Consider more than just the top two hershey versus cedar point is/was very interesting. Millenium Force + Maverick (+ ghost of TTD) vs Skyrush + Farenheit + Storm Runner
Yes my home park six flags new england made your list i absolutely love wicked cyclone sadly my only rmc I've ridden and superman on a hot summer day is insane ans yes the restraints suck I was lucky enough to ride it with the original restraint system but Massachusetts is very finicky with that coaster
I went to energylandia last week and rode both front row in the morning and near the back on both in the late afternoon and the difference is absolute absurd, they both gain so much speed over the day
This is my first time hearing your Twisted Colossus hate and I WILL NOT HAVE IT. TC is by far my favorite ride. It's incredible. (I havent been on Steel Vengeance yet but still)
I have been to KD and Hershey and there 1-2 punch is pretty awesome. I have never been to EL but after seeing the POV’s of those two rides I agree with them taking the top spot. The only one for debate in my mind is putting CP at the two spot. Just my 2 cents.
My friend and I spent 2 days at Hersheypark last month, and kicked off both days with 2nd-to-back row rides on Fahrenheit. We both rated that as our #2 in the park behind Wildcat's Revenge and ahead of Skyrush. I think it's just really underrated because the line gets so bad if you don't get on it right away.
Hershey is my home park and do I like farnheight? Sure.sometimes my rides are smoother than others but the sun on the lift is a pain and it 100% has a kind of bad rattle in some spots. Skyrush hands down beats it for me. I will never get tired of plowing up that lift hill in the back row on a wing seat. 😭
I recommend the front honestly? I did it in the back first and was like, meh... but then I did it in the front and it was very fun. Especially the wing seat.
@Theollieb2 I might have been towards the back? Definitely had a wing seat. I just remember not being impressed by it. I'll definitely need to give it a 2nd chance, then. It's just not as easy to get to the park as I'm no longer a New Jersian.
@@lilchioback left wing was my go to before the new restraints. Now it doesn’t matter because no more laterals. Also it’s definitely a ride that has to warm up, so going on it toward the end of the day is best. But not too close to the end of the day because it likes to go down a lot.
I agree with your ordering of these as pairs although I think Cheetah Hunt at BG is underrated. It's not the most intense, and I agree the shoulder restraints are overkill. However, it launches you up to 60 mph, and you do get a lot of airtime before each figure 8 and other hills. But most importantly, how Intamin and BG built the theming into the ride experience is brilliant. The train is a Cheetah; The launches sound like Cheetah growls. When you're approaching the figure 8s, it feels like a cheetah running before pouncing on something in a tree or on a plateau where the ride slows to a crawl briefly and hops back down. When the ride bounces back and forth through the creek area, it's exactly how a cheetah runs between the banks. Of course, the sights are incredible along the way with views of the Serengeti area. It's a great immersive experience if theming and ride experience are more highly prioritized variables.
Just got to energylandia late yesterday. Zadra’s pacing was amazing. Getting a back staged tour of Hyperion today so after’s today visit I will have my thoughts on which is better. The top 4 pairs are all great.
Really good rankings! I’d love to see you try and rank coaster manufacturers. It may need some tiering (similar to your award videos), but would be really interesting to see.
Love to See Energylandia getting a nod. Being European i haven't done the US ones ,but Zadra and Hyperion are a crazy good 1-2 and easily beat Out other great double headers Like FLY+Taron or Kärnan+Novgorod for me
Of the top of my head I think CP energylandia Hershey KD and Sf New England. Energylandia and CP are the best. I haven't been to Hershey yet but Steve is my number one coaster, I prefer it over gwazi, and maverick is over velocicoaster for me soo... I think I'll like cp more. Maverick is the most underrated coaster ever its elite
What do you think they do to keep sky rush running beyond updating the restraints? Last time I got to ride, June 2024, it was rather rough. You think a retracking is in the future?
I personally love BGT’s one-two punch bc of Iron Gwazi but I could also argue for Hershey Park’s as well. I’ve also done Cedar Point’s but I would agree that most people typically go for steel vengeance as the better one. P.S. I had the same reaction for Steel Vengeance where I thought it was my favorite coaster… Iron Gwazi still beats it.
Haven't been to Energylandia but that 1-2 punch really does sound like one of the strongest 1-2 punches anywhere in the world! I just wonder what their third one would be. I guess Abyssus was supposed to be that though it sounds like its much milder. Not that its a huge problem, Fønix is on the milder side and I still love that thing.
Really great video. Went to Hersey literally a week ago and still forgot about it. Unfortunately I only got one ride on wildcat’s and it was in the morning but I got like 8 rides on skyrush and it might be my favorite coaster. It’s so surprising how many there are though, I was thinking at most like five one two punches.
I have BIG thighs and Superman @ SFNE is still the least comfortable down right pain ful restraints I have ever done. People complain about RMC but the RMC trains seems very comfortable IMO. I legit think that if superman has the restraints it started out with it should be above Timbers and Project 305.
okay what about a 1-2 punch for parks in the same state ? so like a lot of peoples #1 would probs be ohio (cedar point & kings island) but there’s also kings dominion & bgw, universal & bgt etc. you could do it with european countries too
I like this idea, but what about doing the best Intamin/RMC duo by state? (For states that have at least 1 of each, of course). Or by country if we're talking Europe? Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster would be hard to top.
I would love to see a documentary about intamin. 🥺🙏 Please. I would also love to see a B&M and some other manufacturer 1-2 punch list. Im curious to see what you would come up with. Or maybe like a thrill ride and themed ride 1-2 punch list.
Number 99 - Six Flags over Georgia. With their twisted cyclone / whatever the heck they're calling that surfcoaster. This is the closest park to me and yes, I'm still butthurt That this is what we're getting as our so-called launch coaster.
I’ve done 5 of these combos and here’s how I’d rank them. 5. New England - Fantastic combo but I find Superman to be a bit of a weaker link to Wicked Cyclone and I love them both but for me neither are top 10 worthy. 4. Great Adventure - Jersey Devil is weaker than either of the top 2 at New England but El Toro rams Wicked Cyclone & Superman so it’s higher for me since El Toro is in my top 5. 3. Hersheypark - Both Wildcat’s Revenge & Skyrush are in my top 10 but neither are in my top 5 unlike both of the next spots have at least 1 in my top 5. 2. Kings Dominion - I305 is my #3 coaster and Twisted Timbers is just outside my top 5 and hot take, I like both of these coasters more than Skyrush & Wildcats Revenge. This is an incredible top 2 but #1 is just better IMO. 1. Cedar Point - SteVe is my #1 and Maverick is my #5 so it was a pretty easy choice for me. I’ll rank each of these coasters real quick. 10. Jersey Devil (my overall #25) 9. Superman: The Ride (my overall #20) 8. Wicked Cyclone (my overall #13) 7. Skyrush (my overall #10) 6. Wildcats Revenge (my overall #9) 5. Twisted Timbers (my overall #7) 4. Maverick (my overall #5) 3. El Toro (my overall #4) 2. I305 (my overall #3) 1. Steel Vengeance (my overall #1)
A) Has Skyrush improved with new restraints? B) Now I wanna know if Hyperion is better than Hyperia. C) I'ma let you finish, but Maverick has the strongest single airtime moment at Cedar Point.

Not the next video I expected! But I am super happy about it!!! Plus I guessed the full top 5!
I’m not convinced you believe these rankings. Seems like you’re trying to justify not having mav/steve #1 when you get to the top 2
Just got to energylandia late yesterday. Zadra’s pacing was amazing. Getting a back staged tour of Hyperion today so after’s today visit I will have my thoughts on which is better. The top 4 pairs are all great.
I only did first place and yes Zadra and Hyperion are amazing rides and the best 1-2 Punch in Europe in my opinion. I still have to go to the states
Really good rankings! I’d love to see you try and rank coaster manufacturers. It may need some tiering (similar to your award videos), but would be really interesting to see.
Love to See Energylandia getting a nod. Being European i haven't done the US ones ,but Zadra and Hyperion are a crazy good 1-2 and easily beat Out other great double headers Like FLY+Taron or Kärnan+Novgorod for me
I used to be a major American Eagle fanboy, but it doesn’t hit like it used to. I might actually put Vertical Velocity ahead of it nowadays
Yeah I figured Zadra and Hyperion would top this list. Both are peak examples of their respective manufacturers.
Love the video! Now to a 1-2 punch for Pinfari and Old Vekoma
I knew Hyperion had some hype but I didnt know it was enough to give the 1 seed with Zadra. I called Wildcat and Skyrush at 2 tho
SV and Millennium Force are my fav one two punch!!!
Your number 1 was my top 2 coasters! 🎉
8:50 airtime thrills yelling and smashing his keyboard
Such a great video! My brother and I look for this combo when we travel to parks.
I agree with this list! Great video 🎢
I feel like SFDK deserves a spot on this list because of Joker and Flash Vertical Velocity.
I LOVE Untamed and Goliath
for a second i thought number 1 would be flash and joker because they weren’t mentioned at all and i forgot about energylandia 😂
imagine knotts berry farm not getting a rmc but some random ahh park in the middle of nowhere thats very ghetto gets 15 rmcs 💀
Calling Goliath a short ride 1:45 while your wearing the ultimate short ride shirt Gwazi is only 5 seconds longer 1:50
4:30 I bought an iron gwazi shirt before riding too and it ended up being closed my whole visit😢
I enjoy cheetah hunt. It’s a fun ride. Though if BGT had a 1-2 punch for intensity, it would be iron gwazi and montu
I would put Cedar Point as Number 1 because after you do Steel Vengeance and Maverick you still have so much amazing coasters.
Zadra and Hyperion, Wild Cats and Skyrush. Done both this year. Zadra and Hyperion. However not an Intamin fan full stop
I have BIG thighs and Superman @ SFNE is still the least comfortable down right pain ful restraints I have ever done. People complain about RMC but the RMC trains seems very comfortable IMO.
I legit think that if superman has the restraints it started out with it should be above Timbers and Project 305.
1. Cedar Point
2. Hersheypark
3. Kings Dominion
4. SFNE
okay what about a 1-2 punch for parks in the same state ? so like a lot of peoples #1 would probs be ohio (cedar point & kings island) but there’s also kings dominion & bgw, universal & bgt etc. you could do it with european countries too
Agree! Zadra and Hyperion I could ride them nonstop. If only their queue lines are less ridiculous
The top 10 B&M and RMC 1-2 punches video, please.
Live in Orlando. Traveled to a ton of places the last couple years....still haven't done iron gwazi 😂
Any two rides can be considered a 1-2 punch. Thats why I am so high on the Intamin gyro swing. us needs one
I like this idea, but what about doing the best Intamin/RMC duo by state? (For states that have at least 1 of each, of course). Or by country if we're talking Europe?
Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster would be hard to top.
I think Cedar Point deserves #1 because Stevie and Millie remain in the Top 2-5 every year on the Golden Ticket Awards rankings. To each their own.
I would love to see a documentary about intamin. 🥺🙏 Please. I would also love to see a B&M and some other manufacturer 1-2 punch list. Im curious to see what you would come up with. Or maybe like a thrill ride and themed ride 1-2 punch list.
The Cedar Fair special: B&M and GCI
@@DoomPlague yeah that would be great
I literally just got home from a three day Hershey trip and I still can’t decide between sky rush and wildcat lmaoaoaoa
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom with Joker and Flash is a solid pick too
Number 99 - Six Flags over Georgia. With their twisted cyclone / whatever the heck they're calling that surfcoaster.
This is the closest park to me and yes, I'm still butthurt That this is what we're getting as our so-called launch coaster.
If Parque Warner Madrid would RMC Coaster Express, they could easily make the next update of this list with that and Gotham City Escape
10. Jersey Devil (my overall #25)
9. Superman: The Ride (my overall #20)
8. Wicked Cyclone (my overall #13)
7. Skyrush (my overall #10)
6. Wildcats Revenge (my overall #9)
5. Twisted Timbers (my overall #7)
4. Maverick (my overall #5)
3. El Toro (my overall #4)
2. I305 (my overall #3)
1. Steel Vengeance (my overall #1)
Watch Discovery Kingdom not be on here. Its an underrated rmc/intamin one two punch
The shirts 😂 was this planned??
Six flags over Georgia would be on this list, if the construction crew got it together
A) Has Skyrush improved with new restraints?
B) Now I wanna know if Hyperion is better than Hyperia.
C) I'ma let you finish, but Maverick has the strongest single airtime moment at Cedar Point.
