West Beach & Pruth Bay - Calvert Island, BC

After anchoring in Pruth Bay several years, we decided to risk staying in the exposed anchorage of West Bay on the Pacific side. Forecasts showed calm conditions and it paid off. Great hiking and kayaking - 1 mile to N Beach and 1.5 miles S passing the 7 pristine white sandy beaches. Really neat sandstone shoreline and rock islets. Lots of large sea lions on the reefs 1/2 mile offshore.
