North Hawaii is a great hospital to work at.. Do it.. I worked there but we had to move off the island for family reasons... Everyone at the hospital are great and the OB dept is really good group
visited Waimea back in 2017 when my best friend and I vacationed on the Big Island, we stayed in Waikoloa village but one day we drove up to Waimea to eat at Merriman's, which became my new favorite restaurant. Before we left I insisted that we drive around Waimea one last time. I just liked the small town feel, and that it was at a high elevation. If I moved to the Big Island I think that's where I'd want to be.
Wow! This video came at such the perfect time! I'm very closely and actively considering and researching moving to the big island, Kailua-Kona, to be precise. However, Waimea speaks to more. This immediately became my new favorite video! Thank you!

What is a safe place to live on the Island of Hawaii? Where are hospitals? I would like to buy a lot and build a shipping container home. Is a budget of 400k enough?
There are hospitals in all the main towns, Kona, Hilo, Waimea, Honokaa and Hawi. I don't know how much a shipping container costs to build but for land in north or south Kohala or Hamakua I'd budget at least 200-250k for land.
@@kristicotton Thanks for your reply. 👍🏻 A 1500 sqf home built out of shipping containers costs approx 120k. I have to figure out where on the Big island I would want to live. I'm researching and watching many TH-cam videos. I am a single female and do want to live somewhere safe. It seems Hilo is not that safe, right?

Always thot Jacaranda was Brazilian Rosewood used in guitars, however I see these pretty purple flowered trees are the real Jacaranda
