Finally!! A tutorial on this beautiful blanket that I can actually understand/follow 😀 Now all I need to do is work on my tension because mine comes out looking anything but square 😅
I'm so glad you like it & think I gave good instructions. That's what I strive for. The best thing for tension is try to keep the loops on your hook the same & don't give to much yarn when you yarn over.

Yes, you know how it has the crochet shells. Well I was wondering if you could make a tutorial but not a square instead a rectangle but still have the shells
Yes I'm sure I can figure out how to get it square. First I have to finish my American flag. I have about 1 more week on that. Someone is wanting a tudorial on that. Then I can get started on yours. I'll let you know when I'm ready to do the tudorial. Hopefully no more than 2-3 weeks since I'll have to make the whole blanket.

Thank you! Maybe your tension is too tight. You could also use a larger hook to help.

Thank you so much!! You would start it the same way. You would just make it bigger than for a baby blanket. Keep continuing with the rounds until it gets as big as you'd like.

How many skeins of blue and white do you need?
I believe I used almost 2 skeins of blue and a little more than one skein of white. That is for a 36X36 inch blanket.
Does the row increase on each shell row or the bridge row?
It increases on the bridge row.

I appreciate you using a large hook and thick yarn. So many tutorials are with tiny hook and string! So hard to see.
