Layering is such a life saver. I think it's the quickest way to being your music to the next level. Piano beats get bland after a while but swapping various elements out for other sounds will bring them back to life for sure. Great vid. You managed to hold my attention for 10 minutes so you're doing something right lol.
The best advice to hear whats needs to be placed is ear train to tones, melodies and rhythm and best of of all dont overthink which is why alot of people get beat block from thinking to hard on the sound or idea. Ive seen producers make 10 beats with in minutes it comes from not overthinking
Also what hes doing at 2:07 is called voice leading for those that don't know. Also it sounds smoother doing it this way not alot of jumps and the progression meshes together better
Bro this vid is fire fr, I actually wrote a melody im happy with thx to this vid 🔥 Just having trouble with sound selection, I always end up picking instruments that sound great on their own but don’t share the same vibe as the other layers, def something I need to work on
I like the way you show your workflow, and go at good pace. I actually enjoyed watching the whole thing. Looking forward to more. Got a new sub now. Much love.
12 year user of ableton live but lately certain aspects of FL Studio has intrigued my interest. The piano roll for one with all the music theory hacks and features is super intuitive. Any feed back on if I should grab the producer edition or the all plugins edition? On that note, keep on with the great content. This video format where we get to see you demonstrate certain things and why is very helpful. Bless to all the producers out there putting in that work🙏🏻💯🥇
@@rlyBeats thanks for the quick reply, done I’m on it. Not looking forward to the beginning stages of learning a new DAW again but, you gotta pay your dues to be proficient in that environment. Any valuable resources you can recommend that would help a complete beginner to fl?
Yo thank you i Made fire melodies before but i have Always loved your shit and the fact that i choose most of the Times the Same notes as you like before you Put i down i think like i would put a note right there so this gave me much confidence greetings from germany my Brother🇩🇪🙏
please rly make these long tutorials ....we have loved your guitar melodies shorts and now we are loving your this content !!! PLease dont stop making these kind of tutorials and also please make tutorials on how to guitar melodies with drums on it 😍😇Much love PEace out !!
@@rlyBeats Bro that render and replace tip is a gem, achieves so much - less cpu being used, freedom as you say to speedup, pitch etc for additional layers
You’re so talented my man. I’m amazed by every single video. Question: how do you find good sounds that fit together? It seems so easy when you do it but whenever I try it just sounds mushy… also having trouble with my top line and counter melody :(
usually i will just pick a random sound and try and see what matches up, if they dont match up well but i like them both i eq them so they match up properly
@@rlyBeats Yeah, and you definitely don't sound like you just woke up in your long videos. Which I wasn't complaining about. Always watched your melody videos and layering techniques. Underrated!
Awesome video 👾 Could u make a information video about beginners steps? like: what u must to learn, rules of music production and all important things 🍉
yessir, got one recorded about chords, some chord theory, how to put chords together and more (basically going further in depth about what i talked about in the beginning with making melodies)
beginner tips: mess around a bunch, be skeptical of what you hear, and dont be afraid to try something different. other than that id recommend some of my vids, i usually try to share what i know as best i can
yoooo rlly keep up these fire vids man
imma try to 😤 thanks though king 👑 i appreciate your support
Ok
shorts are cool but seeing the whole process and learning a few tricks along the way is 100% the way to go. nice tutorial bro

💀 glad i can hold your attention king 👑 def love layering. saw a ted talk like speech by honourable c note about layering, def left an impact
Layering is a super powerful tool, also changing sounds with the same melodies can also vastly make your tracks more listenable and less repetitive
Its like orschestration
Finally not a short, a vid where you can go deeper in a actual vid. Thanks Brodie and will look forward to more vids. 😄
hope they help you out 😤
Omg finally a guy that doesnt always try to push his audio kits and promote himself, just wants to help and I love that

I NEED THIS BEAT 🔥
i think i ended up sending this loop out
I feel that 1 3 4 are minor and 2 major, in my opinion it's a little mistake but otherwise good 1:50
didnt realize is said anything about the chords being major or minor, but ya if i did my bad, youre correct
Please drop this beat, it's fire 😍🔥
