At the orientation. They give you a username and password. They make you download an app called me at Walmart. It will tell you your schedule. You also use the app to scan prices and location of every item.

I tell you what's it's like working at Walmart. I work as a Team associate. My job is to restock and zone items. And restock the returns. Since it's football season. People aren't showing up for work. I'm have to work Sundays. There was like 9 person working at my store. 3 at the cash register. 2 watching the doors. 2 at consumer service. 1 at deli. I was the only one restocking and zoning. No Managers. All of them have left at 3 o'clock. Leaving the store with employees only. Cap 2 doesn't arrive until 8 o'clock. So basically if you're working for Walmart. You don't want to work on Sundays.
Did u get hands on training on how to do all of this ? I have a hard time retaining information and I'm scared I applied for this position and idk what to do if I get it

I have had no training on how to properly do this using tc70. I work in deli and bakery hired 3 months ago. I'm so confused , supervisor told me how to do it. Was told by another supervisor Im doing it wrong. Then another said none of us in dept are doing it right and each doing it differently. Our counts are so off it is not even funny. I want to learn how to cap bins accuratly. I have truly had no training . My orientation was half hour(paper work, w4,,ect..) Went straight to how to slice neat in deli. Now I have been assigned to work freight on floor and cap bins . I ask questions but each person has different answer. I ask about training videos or manuals (they literally laughed and told my I care to much) . I do care , I care ALOT! This is my job, this is my lively hood. Not only that, what the sales floor looks like, how the cooler, freezer bins are maintained , inventory counts , merchandise coming in,, is all a reflection of how I'm doing my job. also walmart does not do drug testing or background check because they know you wont last more than a couple shifts therefore they know not to pay the costs of it.
@@ernestogastelum9123 Not true. I've worked in many jobs where the people + managers were not so corrupt. Walmart is BS. They frown down upon you even if you mention the word UNION. The managers at Walmart were both great there when I started, but they left and the ones that replaced them were hideous people with ZERO people skills. You know what is stupid at Walmart? You only work your way up according to "attitude" and not "knowledge" which is total bullshit. I am so glad I left there. I hated it in the end.
If you are going to school that will make it difficult I waited to graduate high school so i does not have to do two things at ones and now able to help my mom with the bills in the house
@@ml_muzzyt well 2 years passed, are you still thinking on working in Walmart? if you are then ill let you know that you will be working part time since you are a student. if you dont know what part time is, then basically you will be working 4-5 hours a day instead of the standard 8 hours

I went in age 67 very fit and muscular and got run out in one night by them refusing me knee pads or scanner even though my job was night stocker since i told them i want hard physical work. The way they dealt with me coming in they refused my kneepads and I was on my knees all night on bare cement to run me out. I was not in their age group and likely feared that i would make it so they nipped it in the bud and ran me off. Straw that broke camels back is I did go go in next day and black girl knowing I was being run out feeling sorry for what was taking place --laughing stock of the shift---walked down the aisle me on knees on cement "hey baby dey dont even give you no knee pads??!!" THE WORKERS WERE GREAT AND LIKED ME AND ME THEM-- I said not not me even though everyone else had them--so I clocked out and returned the vest just now and said "sorry it did not work out". everyone there is in hell and living a lie. if you go in and work out thats because you go in with friends and family already working there that get you through it. I was older and got run out because I met none of those criteria. walmart is a criminal enterprise operating under the radar. If they ever picket I will set up tent and stay there with free food for all. That is one evil place.
cool vid i work CAP 2 and its 2pm to 11 and its 2 hours unloading the truck with like 6 other co workers and some people don't catch on to work as a team its annoying. Anyway always wondered what the Fresh department co workers did. Best of luck, wish i had that position :(

Well to answer my own question for maybe anyone else who would want to know. The job isnt hard but it is alot to learn and it takes time. Make sure to ask questions with the right people. Because coworkers really are not the best place to seek help (well with my store atleast.)
A job ( hourly especially) is EZ! It’s routine and process. It’s all laid out in front of you, for you. Super EZ, try commission only based, where you have to think on your feet, and your days carry over don’t reset like hourly days.
beatriz hernandez when I applied the system was different so I chose the meat department. Now it would just be fresh cap. I never was s cashier and didn’t want to be 😂

I work at walmart 1129 austin and i take on 5 tasks a day, its really a heavy labor job, so i practice keeping a timeline and knowing to take like 60 seconds per box when im stocking , been on CAP 2 FOR 9 months so far and its unloading the truck for 2 hours or get shade from the managers an i threw the truck straight for a good 6 months before they hired new people and assistant supervisors. they moan when they have to pull pallets for CAP 3 shift and then get me to unlocad and stage the night. Like the pay isn't great for CAP 2 either so everyone flakes out on stocking between 100 and 180 boxes a day and unloading the truck for 2 hours flat is'nt good when walmart is run like a high school and they show favoritism ect. walmart only works best when everone is a equal and outputs enough energy towards STOCKING AND TASKS and runing the departments and earning higher company profits for the store.

I am also 5' myself. Don't even bother. There is so much heavy lifting that your back will only get damaged.
