If only the modern Beamers were as solid as these golden oldies!
    Easier to fix, too :-)

Hey mate, I enjoy watching you videos down under in Australia. I have just got a K100 RT back on the road which I was given as an unfinished project, it became a bare bike no plastic in a classic bike style. It had been sitting unused for over 6 years. The main issues with getting it running were related to fuel. The fuel had ethanol in it so the rubbers inthe tank were rotten. Also had to put the injectors into an ultrasonic bath cleaner, now I use the bike every weekend with my wife.

Always liked the idea of the “RS,” a true sport tourer. Today I own a R1250RS, the latest iteration. Down on power but mountains of torque.

Been waiting for a video of the K series. I take my hat of for the guys who turn this bike into a cafe racer ! A lot of electronic needs to be moved on this bike to accomplish a perfect looking cafe racer. Thanx for the great video !

The hall effect sensors tend to go bad on these as well, causing all sorts of running issues! That and ignition coils...

Hi Chris, i installed the torque arm from the 1100rt to my 1100gs to lower it but the final drive angle changed as well and it looks a bit odd, can this damage the shaft or pinion or i can leave it like that?

Is it a good idea to change the headlamp (the bulb 💡) of K bikes into a LED one?

the footpeg brackets werent sort of mounted they were rubber mounted and the pegs buzzed like a bastard. When I saw the 86 models were solid mounted I got a mate to ,ake aluminium copies of the rubber grommets and I bolted them up making the brackets solid ..instant difference
