    This is precisely why not all people would wish to move to digital only/streaming (duh, Xbox). There's a beauty in collecting physical copies of games

    I bought a Contra 1 cartridge with the label almost peeled off and washout color for about $35, better condition ones cost twice, and got Super C for $40...always wonder why they are so rare/expensive, because almost everyone I know who played Famicom back in the 80s played Contra.

      They're all amazing games that proved the NES could compete with the SNES in terms of quality, and even graphics in limited cases

    Castlevania 3 and the Contras aren't THAT expensive, not compared to Gimmick and Moon Crystal anyway. You also should have mentioned that Castlevania on Famicom has an easy mode which is cool. My most expensive game(cartridge) is Gimmick, found it for about 20000 yen in Mandarake Sapporo(common price was 30-35k). Then I got it signed by the main designer behind the game so yeah, bit of a treasure

    I have to get the lickle, crisis force and contras and absolutely Akumajou Dracula ROM Version!! I have no Famicom Disk system and I don’t intend on buying the American or European version because I have no adapter for NES cartridges for my AV famicom... Great recommendations! Now try to find Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa ROM Cartridge version IN BOX because it’s not funny otherwise... prepare your cash and get lucky !!!
    P.S. : +1 sub by the way, awfully underrated channel !

    Names bug me as well. price tags bug me. I am fine with rental stickers, especially for defunct store and mom and pop shops.

    Hi ,Can the cartridge you bought in Japan be used in USA?

    • @jcontra
      @jcontra  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you use a cartridge adapter for the American NES, yes. You can also use a Famicom with an American TV, because they're both NTSC.
