- In memory of guitarist Ricky Wilson of the B-52's who passed away from AIDS-related cancer on Oct. 12, 1985. Instrumental track, "Return to Dreamland" by the B-52's is a b-side from the import Good Stuff CD single. Featuring archival footage as seen in the MTV Rockumentary and other sources. Originally posted in 2010.
I threw him my hat at the beacpn theater and he wore thru a couple songs. Met him and the band backstage at the sunrise musical theater 1982. Nice people.

Wow, there is a lot of footage in this video I've never seen available on TH-cam. Does anyone know how to find these clips: 0:17, 0:50, 1:20, 1:50, 2:30, 2:45, 3:17, 3:25 ?

0:17 might be the US Festival in 1982, but I'm not sure.
0:50 is out of a 1977 or 1978 video shoot, which you can find on TH-cam. They supposedly played 4 songs, but I've only seen footage of 3 - "Devil in my Car," "Hero Worship," and "Lava." The last one differs from the later recorded versions.
1:20 was menitoned, it's SNL. But it's from January 1980.
1:50, I have no idea.
2:30, can't help you there either, but it looks like an early one from approx. Mid 1978 through March 1979.
2:45 might be the Heatwave Festival in 1980, but I don't know for sure.
3:17 is from the same series mentioned for 0:50, above.
3:25, I'm not sure. But Ricky's playing his Double Neck Mosrite Joe Maphis Model, so it narrows the date down to probably 1980. maybe 1979. I don't know when he got the double necked guitar.
