I got to say that I love your review format. It's very well done in a short amount of time. It's also very well explained. I love the 5 Pro / Mix / Cons labels. Good job!
Thanks Mike for your great review & gameplay. Really looking forward to try this one solo. As I tend to like euros, is there any other euro do you recommend for solo ( excluding scythe an spirit island, I have got those 2)
I loved Empyreal (that I covered recently) for solo and co-op. It has a bit of the engine-building, rondel-ish feel of Viscounts. Everdell has a pretty straightforward solo mode, but I still really enjoy it. Obsession (another one covered fairly recently) can be great, IF you can get into the theme. A bunch of my content creators friends love Dwellings of Eldervale, though that can be pricey! But honestly, since I'm somewhat anti-solo euro at times, there might be others who could give you better suggestions!
I love how this is a very “game state” focused solo. You have to keep an eye of the board and the many different options available to focus on to build your deck or other engines. Very fun indeed
Definitely! Paladins has that too, but I actually find it to be slightly overwhelming there (trying to keep track of potential townsfolk and outsiders and everything else). This one strikes the balance better for me.
One of my favorite game of 2020. Glad you like it! There's not a lot to complain about this game indeed. Very fun and engaging deckbuilding/roundel mechanic, many viable strategies, just the right amount of interaction for an euro (or as you rightfully named it, intersection).
GameMasterX0. Though keep in mind (partially for Shelf Life surprises, and partially because I get a lot of review copies and don't always keep up), what's on there only MOSTLY reflects my collection.
Viscounts AI seems like it's a lot simpler to run than that of Paladins. I've only run the one for Paladins, and I found it kind of cumbersome. To be fair, Paladins seems like a more complex game. I think I will like it a lot once I get a chance to play with human opponent. Probably better than I will Viscounts when I eventually get it. But Viscounts seems like it has a better solo experience.
Oh, the AI certainly does different stuff with THEIR strategies. I'm just saying it didn't necessarily change my decision-making a ton. You know what I mean?

Thank you so much! Glad you found it useful :)
Viscounts solo and multi is one of my all time favorite games.
That's great!

My favorite 2020 and also the series. Just phenomenal gameplay all around!
I'm going to try Architects soon (I feel like I kind of HAVE to now, lol), but so far I'm right there with you. This one is great!
I was going to buy this game today. Now I'm sold!
Go go go!

Totally agree. This would have done well in my top of 2020 list, I believe, if I had fit it in last year!
Hey Mike, I'd love to know what your BGG username is. I feel like your tastes align with mine so seeing what's in your collection would be great.

I vastly prefer viscounts solo to paladins, but paladins is an excellent multiplayer game
been waiting for this one Hehe
Thanks for watching!
i ve always thought of the ai as 4 focused strategies to practice against the tomesaga co op is good too btw didnt enjoy paladins either

@@OneStopCoopShop ye totally im one of those players thats always gunning for the castle lol
@@TheHexyBeast Can't ignore the only plastic element in the game!!!!
Excited to watch your playthrough! I like Paladins more than you but I agree this is a better game. And oh man that AI player can be B R U T A L.
I'm warming up to Paladins more each time I play, but I still think Viscounts is going to be easier to get to the table for me consistently.
