I play this pretty close to the way you do, so i'll just tweak it a lil when i play along with your next tutorial i see you just posted, haha. First I'd like to thank you for sharing your talent and skill with us. I've picked up a lot from your videos.
    I'm struggling a little with right hand rythm on intro section. Are you using down strokes only or down/up? Any help with right hand advice greatly appreciated.

    • @tonedr
      @tonedr  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello Chris! Hope all is good sir and thanks so much for the kind post..i like using down strokes on this as much as possible. Maybe it's just me but it sounds more 'consistent' when i play it if i use as many downs as i can. And i remind myself not to get too busy with it leave some room for those chords to ring - i tend to want to fill the space too much - if i can help more i'll be glad to i could shoot you a little vid to help maybe. your friend, dale.

    • @tonedr
      @tonedr  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello Larry...it took me a long time to get it half way smooth and i'm not sure i did! It's not an easy part so don't be discouraged - my best advice is work on it as slow as you can stand get it clean before you try to play to tempo. Your friend, dale.

      don,t play it''LOL' this is a tune that you have to make it your own,,, yes skynard played it that way,, but they were only laying out the road map,, this guy has no clue what music is about,, sorry to say,, but then again alot of people don,t,, take the approach of making shit your own,, and be happy'' there is only,, one hendricks and one beatles

    Dale, you refer in the very beginning to "this little lick, kind of a common rock lick", you do not describe. Later you do describe, "this little phrase, which happens all the time", but I do not think you describe the "common rock lick". Maybe I'm just confused, which happens all the time. Can you help with the "common rock lick"? Hope you're having a great weekend. I'm trying to learn this song. Your friend, Bob.

    • @tonedr
      @tonedr  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello sir! @ .57 i refer to the 'common rock like' as that little ditty where i play a pull off on the A string 3rd fret to open A string and on the 3rd fret of low E string and end of the open A sting. Hope that makes sense...anything else i can try to clear up?
