I play this pretty close to the way you do, so i'll just tweak it a lil when i play along with your next tutorial i see you just posted, haha. But this gives me a chance to mess with the lead some, and jam along with ya! thanks!

Any chance of doing a tutorial on the JJ Cale (song author) and Eric Clapton versions for comparison? There are some unique rhythmic contrasts. All of the versions are great in their own right. Would be unique to see them contrasted...

hello Larry...it took me a long time to get it half way smooth and i'm not sure i did! It's not an easy part so don't be discouraged - my best advice is work on it as slow as you can stand get it clean before you try to play to tempo. Your friend, dale.

Dale, you refer in the very beginning to "this little lick, kind of a common rock lick", you do not describe. Later you do describe, "this little phrase, which happens all the time", but I do not think you describe the "common rock lick". Maybe I'm just confused, which happens all the time.
