Jamie and you working the potatoes brought back memories of my childhood. My dad had a huge garden and we had potatoes, peanuts and all of the other wonderful vegetables out there. He had apple trees too. My Granny and I would pick beans early in the morning and sit in the shade stringing and snapping them. My mom canned everything. I miss those days.

Why would you throw away small potatoes? You can boil them with skins on and put butter and salt and pepper on them and they’d be so delicious. If I may ask, if every single potato was as small as the ones you threw away, you surly wouldn’t have any potatoes to enjoy. They are yummy.👍🏻😁
Jamie was doing so well, digging is very hard work. I love grubbing around in the dirt but that’s usually when I’m planting flowers and bulbs. I also have a bad back so I have to pace myself and not overdo it or I regret it the next day. I hope you have some nice meals from those potatoes ❤

Have you tried the old tires method of growing potatoes? Loosen soil in planting area. Place 1 tire, fill with dirt, place potato seed on dirt, add a tire and fill. As plants grow up add a tire and fill. End of season pull off the and collect spuds. Only a few will be in the actual ground. Also conserves water.
When I have little potatoes, I wash them put them in a flat pan and garlic salt, pepper oil. Throw them in the oven and cook them. Let them cool them and we have little baked potatoes for the Winter.
Angela, I think highly of You and Jamie. But I wish you realized. Jamie is obviously doing all he can to dig those up. You could stop asking so many questions. This man has a very bad heart. It’s hard enough to hard we to do that. But you ask him to answer. My gosh help and support him more. Sad.
Well I will just say that I know this makes Jamie feel good about growing his potatoes. But…. I just bought potatoes for $2.74. For 5 lbs. I know Jamie paid a lot of money for the dirt and the other supplements for those raised beds. His heart and COPD IS so bad right now. This is not worth his health. It’s hard to hear him struggle so much. I feel bad for him. You can buy them cheap.

My uncle use to have fields and fields of potatoes me and my cousins would have to pick them after he plowed them up.When my grandpa would help he would grab the stem and shake the dirt off and us kids would be so dirty when we were done all you could see was the whites of our eyes lol

Here is an idea for Christmas present that is free or near free. Save all your pits from the citrus, fruits oranges, lemon, orange, mandarin, orange, grapefruit, dry them out find a 2 quart sealer or whatever you have plant the seeds in there water, put the lid on and watch it grow. You can put a pretty Christmas bow 39:35 you can also have a painted pot or bowl and put the seeds in a little plastic bag and the dirt in a little plastic bag and wrap it up with the bowl and let them plant their own on it but leave room for the sun to hit the plant. If you start now, you should be ready for Christmas. I am charging $20 apiece. You can use smaller jars, but they have to be transplanted. They are so pretty with great big spikes on the stem and not many people get a citrus plant for Christmas. Maybe you can have a show to show other ideas for free Christmas presents You can also put the seeds in a little bag and the soil in a little bag and put it in a pretty container and let them plant their own.
