Erica did absolutely amazing at educating me on plants I've mistaken personally my entire life. Great stuff and cool unique content and personable filming style
Another fantastic video! Absolutely LOVED Erica's hike and plant identification and medicinal information🩷 I'm really looking forward to your next video.
Erica, I loved your plant commentary and information. The native uses and health benefits are something I am very interested in. Please keep that up in the videos. Johnathan, I really like the nature information you talk about as well. You both are very cute and we enjoy your videos.
Good call on not eating the berry I always feel bad if I ever take when I know I have a food source. I used to est the purple berries behind woolly hollow
We Love the plant identification your doing!...make it a part more often!...love Johnathan showing us the places you go and its history!...great work to the both of you!
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Ericka thanks for the info about the plants. And my heart froze along with Jonathan's bike at that Elk on the trail. Whew!
HI JOHNATHAN & ERICA HI 👋 THAT WAS A NICE HIKE & THANK YOU FOR ME / US THE PLANTS , PLUS THE USES OF THEM PRETTY COOL 😎 JOHNATHAN I'M REALLY GLAD THE ELK DIDN'T STARTLE YOU & HAVE AN ACCIDENT OR IT RUN YOU OVER ! THANK YOU BOTH FOR ALL THE INFORMATION OF THE AREAS YOU WERE IN / PASSING THROUGH 😀 BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏 😅
Love this. I love the pines as my Mom did. I love Erica’s love for plants and to learn about them. I have many but mostly in my indoor forest. Ha. They are my babies.
AWESOME VLOG 👏 New Mexico is gorgeous 🤩 I loved the plant descriptions and usages! I always wonder how people discovered the different uses for the plants. AND the ELK 😆 Yikes! He was looking like “ you want a piece of me?!”
I'm glad that you are able to get away & have this time alone together you guys have been able to make some beautiful memories.... I'm glad that you took my advice & slowed down when showing the signs & billboards so that we can either read them now or snap photos of them so we can read them later. Thank You.... Please let Erica know that I really appreciate her finding out about each plant, I'm just now getting into Herb's & what all our ancestors knew about these plants that most of the time had Healing agents in them..... I would have loved to have been a Fly on the wall when you let both sets of parents know that you were going to take this trip together. I'm sure they hit the roof... However your both adults so really what can they say?
Hi guys. When I was younger we had friends that worked for the forestry in Lincoln National Forest They lived in a cabin there and he was a watch tower guy.
I love it when you geek out Johnny and Erica your voice is so soft and soothing! That Mullien plant also stops the bleeding if you have a cut or other wound. It actually numbs the pain.
This video was so good. So glad to see Erika with you, I loved her commentary. Native plants are so intriguing. I'm from Eastern Kentucky, we kind of have the same summer weather. The climate is so totally different out there. My first trip out West was mind blowing. She seems to be into researching things. That's the thing that kept me watching Dome Life. They take us on incredible adventures, but pepper in the history. Once you start researching the history of the West, the Pioneers, it gets so much more interesting. You guys need to go to Yellowstone. It's very touristy, takes some planning, but it's otherworldly.
Great video. Loved Erica’s segment and enjoyed your bike ride and moose encounters. You can take still photos and put them in your park video. (The anti TH-cam attitude of the park service is wrong minded. That is how some of us are able to enjoy the park without being there in person. I wrote my New Mexican congressman!) Thanks for sharing your new and improved video skills with us.
How cool to be in New Mexico and so close to the Mescalero Apache Nation! They have a huge casino and resort known as the Inn of the Mountain Gods. I'm Apache, but from AZ. I do have cousins in Mescalero, however. Interesting factoid, the Apaches would use the tree sap to spread it over their water jar like woven baskets and use to haul water! It's hard to find that practice anymore, but there are still a few Apache who weave baskets we refer to as burden baskets. Once the basket is complete it is adorned with leather and fringes in which jingles hang from. Historically, the Apache used these burden baskets to gather fruit and other food items harvested. The jingles were used to ward off nearby bears as Apache women also carried infants in two with their cradleboards. There are definitely many plants used for medicinal purposes. Enjoy Apacheland and hopefully y'all can get in on some good frybread! 😊
I really enjoy both of you. Today I watched this video and trying to get caught up. Erica I really enjoyed going on the walk with you and you telling about the plants you came across. Thank you. I have explained in other videos I just found out about you guys having a channel because of Cody and Kelly. I have been with them for a couple years. So thank you again
So happy that you are enjoying The Land of Enchantment. We were at National Forrest campground with that hail also. Natives who are now retired (camp in an small Airstream now; to old for tents). New subscriber ~~~~ keep up the excellent content. Hope you visit our hometown; Carlsbad. Already subs to Dome Life. FYI: we often camp at Valley of Fires--and ALL our state parks___Pancho Villa and Heron Lake are top favorites.
Thanks for another great video! I really enjoyed Erica explaining the medicinal value of the plants she encountered on her hike! Looking forward to more of that kind of content. Keep it coming!
That was am awesome vlog Erica loved your commentary, and that Elk how Cool was that, great surprise, Don't think I've seen Wildlife on Domelife. Great Job ❤'d it! While in NM check out Sitting Bull falls, near Carlsbad.
I've heard that TH-camrs can video, it's big production companies that have to permit filming. At least that's what I have learned from other channel producers.
Erica,it’s so funny that you enjoyed your hike by identifying plants. What app do you use? I can totally relate to your interest, as I do the same thing! I use the seek app, and its only hangup is that for many plants, it just doesn’t provide much info beyond the plant’s name and range. I’d love to find an app that also reports medicinal uses. The 2-pronged approach in this video is awesome. A hike and a ride! 🥾🚵😁👏👏 That elk was huge and I think waiting for him to scoot over a bit was a wise move. They seemed to like the area, given you saw another elk just a ways down the trail. What a great trail.
That plant thing was most excellent. Thank you
Erica did absolutely amazing at educating me on plants I've mistaken personally my entire life. Great stuff and cool unique content and personable filming style

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Carlsbad area was in our plans, but did not have enough time. Definitely in the future!
I love learning, Erica!
Jonathan, not wanting to pass so close to that Elk is what I call survival instinct! 😂
I've heard that TH-camrs can video, it's big production companies that have to permit filming. At least that's what I have learned from other channel producers.
