This is a really good video on DDH. Thank you so much for posting it. Just letting you know that the sound does cut out for 1-2 seconds, periodically. I found out as an adult that I have FAI (Cam) and DDH, and I’m likely going to need a PAO. I already have a cyst on one side…my surgeon called it an “impingement cyst”. I’ve read that a PAO can’t be done with a subchondrial cyst. Is that true? I’d rather keep my own hip, if possible.

Not true. If the cartilage in the hip is good, it can still be done. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to book a consult in person or via Telehealth. Happy to talk. info@davidsfeldmanmd.com

Thank you so much! I appreciate your clarifying that. I believe that my cartilage is still in decent shape and that my joint space is preserved. So, I feel better about a PAO (as “better” as one can feel with such a big surgery on the horizon…but I am grateful that there is something that will help me) I will drop you an email this weekend to see about a telehealth appointment. Thank you again! @@Davidsfeldmanmd
