    Hearing this, I might decide to grab the BBC SO. The strings don't detune on slurs and the solo horn sound is nice and round, not shrill. Nice use of the woodwinds too in call and response elements. A+

    • @lukeolney
      @lukeolney  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Luke - love this piece and it's really useful to see the orchestration laid out like this - mind if I ask what you have your Violas A/B tracks since as far as I can tell there is no divisi in BBCSO - are these layered articulations?

    • @lukeolney

    Hi @LukeOlney, now that you have had this library for a bit, and SF released the other versions, how are you getting along with it? Are there any pitfalls? What I like best, based off your demo here is the homogenous sound of a united orchestra. Piecing together libraries works also, but to have them all in the same space is a totally different sound...that's why I tend to get as many complete libraries from the developers as possible. Great work...and hope you can get back to me. Thanks!

    • @lukeolney
      @lukeolney  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jake, I do indeed still use the BBC. In particular a lot of the Woodwinds, Horns a4, and Mallets are all in my template. I would use the rest more too, but there's a lot I love from the SSO as well! I tend to combine the best of both, my more recent Powell mockup shows a bit of both in use if that's any help. You're definitely right about the cohesiveness though, and having the Spill mics is really useful!

    • @jaketanner109
      @jaketanner109 4 ปีที่แล้ว
