+++ Every second you spend thinking about the next moment you avoid embracing the present. Ensure that your life is not spent living in your head. Learn new ways of moving past this situation: www.askanoushka.co.uk/coaching

When they isolate you at the beginning of a relationship, it can be disguised as them just wanting to spend A LOT of time with you without others around.. it can make it confusing and difficult to see the manipulation because you might feel flattered.. there needs to be a balance and people have the right to retain friends and family members and not be isolated by a narc.. this was a very helpful video and I felt I could resonate with a lot of it.. thank you anoushka.

It is so spot on it’s not funny. I wasn’t allowed to see friends that said they would’ve told me to leave her. I wasn’t allowed to do any of my hobbies either. Lastly, I’m told I would’ve lost my family too.

It's simple. They want to maximize their sense of control and prevent people from tampering with our critical thinking ability. By isolating people they minimize the risk of other people intervening, and smelling the "fish". Other people who are not entangled, and emotionally invested in this relationship often see the red flags more clearly.

Same. That was truly a vulnerable time😢😔. Now that I know this I could never forgive him or go back. N/C is the only way ❤

Again the weird thing is if my narcissist ex gf had been easy going and allowed me to speak to my son and friends etc then I would have stayed with her. By being the way she was did the opposite of what she wanted and just pushed me away from her
