- This song parody will reinforce some concepts regarding "solutions" in science. It distinguishes "solute" from "solvent" and emphasizes some of the characteristics of a solution and aqueous solutions. It is sung to the tune of "Don't Stop Believing" recorded and performed by Journey ( and a selection in the TV hit, "Glee".) The songwriters are Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Steve Perry.

It bears a special name for its job, it is called the sol-vent.
