BULGARIAN SONG Here is a translation to this fabulous song:
    Dragana sits in the garden
In the garden under the white roses
    She sews and sings.
    Above her, a Nightingale speaks:
Sing and compete with me. If you win, you'll cut my wings, but if I win, I'll cut your hair. Dragana wins and Nightingale pleads:
Cut my legs and not my wings, 'cause I have children to look after.
Dear Nightingale, I don't want to cut anything.
For me is enough that I could oversing you.

Celliers.
    Благодаря за качването

Closest to the version I heard a choir perform back when I was a kid.
Anytime a song can make you feel something, the performers and creators nailed it.
    Love it!

This music has nothing to do with Persia! This is a purely Bulgarian folk song in the processing of Philip Kutev! Please the one who wrote this to correct it!

Very accomplished performance. I wonder about that one note that was changed (the flattened "no" at 1:41 and 3:27). Compare to recordings by the Bulgarian State choir, the Philip Koutev ensemble and others. Is this now the official version or a decision made by the director Karam? Just curious.

I also wondered about this note, which now seems as to make the song even more mysterious :) Haven't seen it written in the sheet music. Sounds great though :)

Yes, it is how I had originally learned the song from a local choir years ago (it was on the chart I had), and decided to keep it- even though I understand that it might sound less traditional for some. I think it's contrasting and adds another layer of emotion. Glad you like it! :)

These tones are decision of the director of the choir. The original version of the composition does not have them. And this is the best performance ever of "Filip Kutev" Ensamble with lead vocal Nadka Karadzova -- th-cam.com/video/KfURRsBnX64/w-d-xo.html

Why are some of the singers wearing Russian traditional costumes while singing a Bulgarian folk song? Not hating, just curious 🤔
At first I thought that this ensemble sings folk songs from different countries, but I did not find a single Russian song in their chanal. Or for most NON-Slavics, the national/ethno costumes from different Slavic countries look the same?

Does anyone have/know how to find sheet music for this? I tried just googling it and came up empty.
