I'm watching and listening to this May 2024. I gotta say that not many musicians will take on this classic and iconic song. Jolan pretty much nails it right to the wall. I was lucky and saw Prince and the Revolution when they were on their Purple Rain tour. It was literally non-stop the whole concert. Jolan is so much more than an incredible voice, his performances have me transfixed! He has got that something that you just can't explain or put into words. Every performance he gives touches me and gives me goosebumps! Whatever happens on this show, Jolan is my winner!

Cody's audition was phenomenonal, and was definitely one of the best performances The Voice has ever seen, but I feel like she's plateauing and not progressing at all. She has an amazing voice and a lot of potential, but this performance was (in my humble opinion) way better.
I agree with Cody plateauing. Asgood and as unique as she is, she has not offered anything new since the battle round. Jolan on the other hand has continuously progressed throughout the series.
This performance rekindled my love for prince and after today's pain... losing such an icon... it's made me so happy that this brought me back to an icon like prince. RIP
He SLAYS !! I'm a big fan of the Voice/ X factor worldwide, and have seen a lot of performers doing this song...but damn... this is one of the best I've seen ^^ both voice and atmosphere are incredible
+fiveohfivethree I think technically they are on a par, but Jolan's voice is so different to any other I've heard and I connect with him instantly. Kevin, however good he is, just leaves me cold.
Man I love this boy...have done from day one and hopefully now people can see why. That was some performance. Wishing Well and Yes are still my two favourites though with this one being the icing on the cake.

We are watching the rise of a big star here. As i said following last weeks performance, he is a naturally gifted singer with something very special. You cannot teach/learn to sing like this, it is a gift and he most certainly has a it !!! I cannot wait for the final, as we are in for a real treat!! Good luck Jolan, you are a STAR.

To be able to slay a Prince song is rare. This was spectacular. Best of the night by leaps and bounds.
