I saw a large piece of art at HomeGoods that was almost identical to one I recently saw at a designer furniture store in Houston, the difference, well, besides about $2kdollars, was that the HG art had a little bit of gold. So I took it home and painted over the gold part with a charcoal gray acrylic paint and it was perfect. ❤
I love HomeGoods too and always get that same adrenaline rush of anticipation. I was there earlier this week and there were so many great choices! The lamp area was full of gorgeous finds, several RL styles. The large hanging rugs can be incredible too. Thanks for all your great tips!

It doesn't matter how many videos I see from people with exquisite taste, as our Valentina, I still love cheesy seasonal décor from fall through winter holidays. Spring and summer I want it minimal and easy to clean, bright and airy in my home, and we spend our time outdoors. Once the light starts to change and the mornings and nights cool down, I want that cozy feeling and cheesy items help me feel the vibes. I had to edit to add: WOW are her legs gorgeous when sitting in that non reclining chair.

Love you and Jack !Valentina but I have to say times are hard right now and not everyone has 80 plus to spend on candles and you guys are dissing other cheaper brands..I have been fortunate to afford some things in my home but fall and Christmas are seasons to be humble and grateful so I put all the simple things around me that remind me of this if people want to smell cinnamon pumpkin apple cider during fall what's wrong with that. .to me that's what fall smells like not charcoal. If you ever visit nantucket upstate NY Vermont you will be inspired by what fall is... all of this is my humble opinion love your content and style even though it's not for me during this season❤
I agree with everything you mentioned 100% - I love HG and have do some tremendous gems but I am very selective!! I never decorate for holidays other than Christmas! I just don't decorate with themes! tfs

They actually are finally finishing construction in the next few weeks. I'm actually completing the design boards now and we'll be finishing up (and filming of course) the whole home soon!

We agree with all the tips in this video but Halloween is for kids and fall florals in nice vases aren’t enough to make a home fun for them on Oct. 31st. We thus look for good videos and DIYs on chic and elevated Halloween decor interesting for kids as well! Some HomeGoods pieces can be transformed to fit a classier aesthetic

No to the candles, no to the art, no to furniture. The furniture is the same price as other places and in my opinion should be considered used. Everyone and his mother has sat on it. It has been on the floor forever and they discount things about 10% when damaged. Who in the hell wants anything that smells of pumpkins?🤢Certainly not me. I smelled about a hundred candles before I gave up. The rugs all gave out the same vibe (beige) The art is mass produced crap. I found better art at “At Home” which is also a local store. Perhaps I’m biased in that department because I am an artist. JS. I have found beautiful glasses, dishes and pottery at Home Goods. However I’m buying less & less there because their prices have skyrocketed.

Seriously something everyone deserves to know is that HomeGoods/ TJMaxx etc. also create a lot of their own clothes; they have their own manufacturing along with the legal 'rights' to utilize many Designers brand. Yes seriously; but feel free to do your own research on this information. If you see a designer name and want to be sure of what you're getting VERIFY THE WASH/INSTRUCTIONS tag as well. If the designer is on both labels (including the Wash/Care instructions tag you have the authentic brand; otherwise you have a HomeGoods self made item. 😉
I understand that everyone has different tastes. But that piece of artwork you're in love with? Just say no for me. It fits your style - black, white and gray. Not saying I'd go for cheesy - I wouldn't. I have much better taste than that. I'm sorry though - there isn't anything "beautiful" about what you picked out.

Valentina Right this very moment I’m sitting on the worst sofa ever. It must be the match to the chair lol. A park bench would feel better than this. At first glance it looks decent but it’s a two cushioned sofa with an indention that you could literally sit your bottom in and feel comfortable there but the other sides are very hard and the backs ways to far back after a while you end up sliding right off the couch. When I lay on it I have to put my bottom in the indention And then the overstuffed cushion pushes up on my back so in essence then I’m laying out flat. It is the worst sofa ever made.
I may have to run to Home Goods tonight. I bought a set of off white recliners. They are modern, beautiful and super comfortable. The price was refreshing after looking at RH and PB (even the outlet pricing is high)
*Art* . I nearly fell off my chair when you showed the first two abstract art pieces. I own them both and got them on clearance for $65 each. The moody blue abstract was a wonderful addition to my summer palette and style. The textured off white canvas is getting a refresh with my Fall 2023 palette; Navy, Olive and Nutmeg. HomeGoods wins may be few and far between, but when you score a good one, you treasure it.
I have never understood wasting money on all that tacky holiday junk whether it be inside or outside. People- yard inflatables are NOT a pretty 🤦♀️🤦♀️!!

It's so much fun to watch you guys out shopping! You and Jack make the kitschy stuff hilarious! For candles at Home Goods, I skip all the others and go straight for the Red Leaf Home brand. They have the best earthy scents and simple packaging for my country lake house. Also, Home Goods often has good rug choices. We bought a Nicole Miller 9x12 rug there recently, and it looks great in our family room. Now and then you can find nice cookware too. Over time, they have various pieces of Le Creuset and Viking, and I've put together entire sets. Would love to see more Home Goods shopping with you and Jack!

I think HomeGoods has gone downhill. The furniture at my local stores is awful. Plus the prices have really gone up. Not the good deal it used to be

It's so much fun to watch you guys out shopping! You and Jack make the kitschy stuff hilarious! For candles at Home Goods, I skip all the others and go straight for the Red Leaf Home brand. They have the best earthy scents and simple packaging for my country lake house. Also, Home Goods often has good rug choices. We bought a Nicole Miller 9x12 rug there recently, and it looks great in our family room. Now and then you can find nice cookware too. Over time, they have various pieces of Le Creuset and Viking, and I've put together entire sets. Would love to see more Home Goods shopping with you and Jack!

So much cheaper to just WATCH y’all shop there than to be there myself. Regarding vases, I’ll stick with my collection of vintage Jetsons-style midcentury ones - clearly an inspiration for these modern vase designers.

I think not doing a gothic home decor episode would be a Missed opportunity to reach out to the dark home decor group. Especially since this is the time to buy dark home decor. I'm really interested to see how you would put that style together.
