that bari part is hot
@@Kasper33 Amen to that
@@Kasper33 Harry White's 'Harlem Congo' (I'll save you from looking it up, there isn't a Bari part in the chart)
We play this in a couple weeks for a concert and I play bari
@@cheesymac4290 we were going to playing but then the pandemic broke out and MPA was canceled
As a bari player amen
As a future bassist, songs like this are why im learning.
This song is one of my most favorite jazz charts of all time
"It’s the Big Phat Band sound but accessible for your band."
- Yes, please! :)
THE SOLOS ARE SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD
FR, THE GUITAR SOLO SLAPS
we're playing this song for our jazz band this year and this is seriously a vibe, especially after jazz police
Right after jazz police is literally perfect
Bruh i got this song recommended right after listening to jazz police!
Playing Tenor 2 over here for jazz band, but using this recording of the sax solo to make my tenor solo an absolute banger! wish me luck!
I play the bass, and my jazz band chose this song and of course there is another bass player and he gets to play this song and I am sooo jealous
I’m the only bass player in my jazz group so I get to play it, sorry you can’t play it dude
its times like this that I'm reminded sometimes it is good to be the only player in your section (i play guitar on this song)
It was the same situation with the other drummer bro😭
Toooooo I feel with you
Man as a bass player I'd hate to not be able to get to play this song.
I'm so sorry man..
these are some of the most banger solos ever god DAMN
The guitar solo hit me in the feels.
Oh yeah Bari squad for the W. Love those low notes
We played this for our spring concert. Lucky me on the Bari part :)))))
Me too!
@@sydneycox5581 playing it for jazz band right now, am having a blast
Imagine having a spring concert... couldn't be literally anyone
@@WillTheBassPlayer yeah 😔
i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
The trombone 1 part is so high… but so worth it xD
it’s not THAT high but i can relate (kind of)
I want my senior jazz to play this for the next school year man
That guitar solo nearly moved me to tears it hit me on a personal level man
Also, I’d like to give my condolences to all the Trombone 3 players out here who are stuck with the objective worst part. Better luck next time, guys!
Yeah, it’s a vibe
Played this in uni, it slapped, and all of Goodwin's songs do 😤😤😤😤
Using this at festival as a guitarist wish me luck 😅
Where the hell was the Bari solo
I got to play a Bari solo for this in a concert recently and it was🔥🔥🔥
u make it sound like that was an offence to u lmfao
My bad haha
As and Alto player.. This was in my top 5 favs to play in high school,
That tenor sax solo is the sexiest thing I've ever heard
its alto
*alto
Alto*
Alto bozo
Alto bozo
Playing piano for this and it’s really fun
Even trumpet 3 is fun to play in this song!!
Another trumpet 3 here but I'm technically too young for high school jazz band in my state (am freshman) so...
trombone 3 is not
WastedBroccoli47 bruh
I'm playing this on my Bass Trombone. I'm curious on how the song would sound if the Bass Bone and the Bari Sax had the same parts
have fun trombone 3
hello yes ikr
I mean it's not like you can hear them anyways. My band has 2 (I'm bass trombone) and I'm always like "wtf you guys even playing, you're slides are moving but I hear nothing"
I played trombone three, and it was almost entirely rests. Cool song, but boring part
@@LukeMunion that sucks. It was pretty fun on base trombone
"hit the bricks pal, you're done!" Scout from tf2
Rival _____ has challenged you to a battle!
Oi Okuyasu, you see that amount of funky freshness over there?
De dónde es esto, alguien me explica?
does anybody have a recording of the trombone 1 solo? i’m playing it for jazz and i can’t find a recording anywhere
I can't hear the guitar oh noooo
Same - the bass is also super quiet - that's my part! TURN UP THOSE STRINGS!
It's almost always like that... :-( Sad but true.
Who needs rhythm sections in the jazz band anyways? Just drums, right?
Trevan Minnig You need rhytm section at least for some background, but anyway, if those parts are written there, they should be heard.
@@trevanminnig3499 No.
Does anyone know how to get that guitar tone
Chorus and overdrive?
Yea that sounds right. You probably want 3/4 treble something like that. Just mess with the knobs till you get it right but those effects are spot on 👍

BARI SAX
does anyone know what album this gordon goodwin sng comes from
I couldn’t find it either
Ok, so at 3:31 I can hear some instrument (trombone?) go crazy with these high notes (high for tbone). Does anyone else hear this/ know what this is???
are you talking about the noise that kinda sounds like sirens in the background? i think those are trumpets playing lower notes while trombone joins bass and B. sax in decending quater notes
No, it's before all of that. Like, it's right at 3:32, actually
Luke Melanson I think that's the guitar
O I hear that but I had to replay it about 5 times it might be trombone idk though
idek y'all. It's weird lol
Any drummers out here?
yeaaaaa
Ayyy

Why does that snare drum remind me of Lars Ulrich?
For some reason the intro made me think of pepsi man
Im on bass for this song rip.
Im trombone 1 for this song, rip
same buddy
Garfielfslasaga Bazingoo but the bass part is sick, if anything i am jealous that the other bass player in my school gets to play it not me :(
Cameron Johnson Same

Omg so many band kids here
