I am crocheting down the side of my V-stitch blanket and I am getting lumps and bumps. Can you give us a rule for how many stitches to make in each double crochet stitch that makes up the sides of the blanket? For example, should I have one single crochet and 1 space per double crochet? When I add 1 sc in each hole or opening there are places where I seem to have sc bunched too close together and if I skip a space on each of the double crochet stitches my single crochets seem too far apart. Thanks for your help.
Is it possible that you are putting too many single crochets down the side of each row? Remember for each double crochet row there should only be two single crochets placed. I hope this helps.

Yes. You are correct. There are 2 versions of this stitch. This one is the closed version. The one you are speaking of, is a spaced version. How lucky are we to be able to create using either vrsion. 😁

Here in the US we do a chain between the two dc. So the V-stitch is (dc, ch 1, dc)!
