    This is a very good tutorial and thanks to it and photos from Google, I installed additional RAM in a laptop for the first time. But in the beginning, when you show how to open the lid, you should emphasize that the screws are of different lengths and you should be careful which is where. But otherwise perfect, best regards!

      can you explain more what is the issue with the screws?! thank you

    • @PointlessCreativity
      @PointlessCreativity ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@abdallaaref3718 Not all screws are of equal length and if you screw one that is too long into a place where a shorter one was screwed in, you can damage the components of the laptop. But unfortunately I don't remember which was which, you have to write it down when removing the screws. Cheers!

    Question/Issue: Hi, I have a Y740 and just updated it with a 1 EVO970 Plus NVMe SSD and a 2TB EVO SSD. On the Information window in BIOS the 2TB EVO SSD is assigned to Disk 1 and 1TB 970EVO Plus is assigned to Disk 2. It should be reversed. Also, It doesn't list the 1TB NVMe in the Boot Manger, only the DISK 1 2TB SSD. The only way I can get the 1TB NVME to boot is to remove the 2TB EVO SSD. The only way I get both drives to show up in the BIOS is buy enabling Legacy mode. I enable Legacy support by switching the to ACHI storage controller. Then can see both drives, but the system will not boot with both drives installed .

    Looks quite simple and easy. Czesc Tech Finds, been looking at the Acer Predator Helios 300 that you recommended, but all 15.6" laptops here in Australia seem to have the 60Hz screen. Only the 17.3" has the 144Hz panel. The 15.6" would be better for travelling. There is another Predator called the Triton 500 and that has the 144hz screen in the 15.6" but costs $3,200 AUD it comes with RTX 2080, 32gb Ram and a 512gb SSD....but it has a weird keyboard layout. Later this year they are replacing the DDR4 to DDR6 RAM's and the RTX will be upgraded to Super ie RTX 2080 super....never stops does it.

    • @TechFinds
      @TechFinds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you gonna wait for new laptops you will end up waiting 4ever, because new and better laptops pop up like mushrooms after rain. ;) I don't recommend Triton, because it runs hot causing performance loss and yea, i've heard that Helios 300 comes with only 60Hz display in Australia unfortunately. It would be great to have 144Hz since it's WAY better, so check out my channel and maybe you will find a good alternative for Predator - i've got many laptop comparisons. Actually Lenovo Legion Y540 is a good option in Australia and i am working on a comparison between Y540 and 2019 Helios right now. Imo Helios is still better, but in Australia Legion may be better option.
      Btw. why do you type polish words sometimes? ;)

    • @TechFinds
      @TechFinds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You should not replase SSD with SSHD expecting the same performance. SSHD can work almost as fast as SSD but only in limited circumstances when for example you learn the SSHD that you use certain program often. Then SSHD gets faster with each run of this program or windows start, but idk how it works exactly. It has it's own memory but idk how much it can remember and if it doesn't forget things. ;)

    • @TechFinds

      If you mean that you wanna have Windows on different drive you have to install the system on that drive and get rid of Windows on your current drive. After installing new drive you have to go device manager and make a partition.

    Hey Tech Finds! I just thought to ask, will it void my Lenovo warranty to replace the ram sticks? More importantly, is there a seal on the ram sticks that would show if they were removed?

    • @TechFinds
      @TechFinds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It may depend on the country, so i recommend reading your warranty terms or contact Lenovo support. By default in most cases changing RAM/HDD/SSD won't void the warranty unless you damage something during upgrade.
