Glad you are safe. If you had arrived just a little sooner, things might have been different. Back in early 2000’s there was a mall shooting not far from where I worked. Coworkers n myself nearly went there for lunch that day. It didn’t happen in the food court but often times we would park near a store with less cars n walk through to the food court. My mom also had plans to go to the mall n didn’t. We never know how many times we are seconds from death but something slows us down. Kids, red light or even someone cutting us off. We left later for vac this yr. We were upset some time was wasted. However we look back n remember a bad accident we could have been in if we were even 3-5 mins earlier to that location. The paramedics had not arrived so it just happened.

Xenophobia is sadly very common in mexico, and it goes the whole spectrum, against indigenous peoples, against brown peoples and also against white peoples. Too much hatred and division already down here. As a mexican living in mexico, it's a ticking bomb let me tell you
@@brennadickinson2920I would say that it would most likely be the reason. Many of these scumbags feel the same way as well, like Elliot Rodger and Chris Harper-Mercer as both of them were half-white and half-Asian and half-black, respectively. It's probably self-hatred.
This is so so well done! The format is next level, and you way you talk about the victims is thoughtful and considered. Hearing a little bit about them really brought it home to me that theyre not just a number. It actually had me crying.

The military should be legally obligated to release any information on mental health for a federal background check. It’s common sense RIP to all those beautiful people.
We need universal background checks for firearm purchases for that to even have any effect though. Something that is still hard for me to comprehend that it’s something we _dont_ have…
@@smears6039this is what we have in Australia. Many Americans believe we don’t have guns here which isn’t true just the process and procedures around getting firearms and keeping your license for them is extensive. The rules we have are extensive back ground checks, psychiatric tests, must be apart of a gun range and have tests every couple of years to make sure you are knowledgeable enough to use the weapon safely and how to store them correctly. You also as a license holder must agree to spontaneous checks on firearms and storage whenever a government official comes to check (which can be anytime) this is what you agree to, to hold a license and firearms. We can’t store ammo and guns in the same safe, we cannot travel with an already loaded weapon (unless you are on a licensed hunting ground) this includes walking. (You can have ammo in the gun but with the barrels open). It may seem extreme but we as a country agreed after our last mass massacre at Port Arthur in 1996 where 35 people were killed, and since then we haven’t had a single mass shooting since. The government bought back guns and then we had to go through the process to authorise ourselves to purchase. We also have zero concealed carrying on our body? I think outside of law enforcement officials. We also limited the type of guns civilians can buy (no automatic or most semi automatic weapons). Anyone who was a hunter before was still able to have weapons also every farmer owns guns, the changes didn’t take them away because they were found to be safe enough to own them. If people in America think that they are legally able to carry and own guns, why are they so scared of harsher policies? It may take awhile to get a license but it’s easy to keep as long as you don’t break any laws.
I mean that is technically how Sadism works. I lived down the road and used to work at that mall. The business I worked for was around the corner from H&M (I used to shop there on my lunch break) and the restaurant he was killed in front of was one my coworkers and I would frequent because it was a few doors down. Luckily I left that job before that happened.
@CoffeehouseCrime Mate, I wish you all the best, but your pronunciation of unfamiliar words; words which shouldn't be unfamiliar to sby of your age, is still (tho improved) often atrocious, especially as a native English speaker. 'Ineligible' and 'illegible' were two I've heard you mess up so often, I began to think it was an in-joke. Maybe it was? People should be aware of their strengths, but also recognise weaknesses, and as well as your language and speech deficiencies, your lack of charisma can be very cringey, ironically, almost like this 'incel' you're covering. Maybe just step behind the camera, employ a charismatic presenter (with a BA level command of English) & watch your channel flourish?
My mom was on the way to the Allen Outlets this day but thankfully my dad asked her for some help in the yard so she didn’t go. I still haven’t been back since this happened 🙏🏻Thank you, Adrian, for covering this!
My mother also likes shopping there. As soon as I heard about the shooting, I had to call and make sure my parents weren’t there that day. It’s always so busy and it’s a miracle that officer was there and able to stop the shooter so quickly.
That’s a blessing in disguise, me personally I had some hiccups in situations that prevented me from danger. The most recent is me getting out of class starting my car and my tire was almost flat. I ask God okay why is this happening, I went and gotten air in my car right down the street, I was short some coins but the gas station clerk had spare change. While getting on the highway a mile or two down, it was a 4 car, car accident thankfully it wasn’t severe, but I found out later one of the instructors was involved in it and he left around the same time I left. Definitely a blessing, I am glad your mom is still here!
I knew a woman who was biologically white, would speak like an African American individual, while dressing up in religious attire like islamic hijabs, and identified as a Jewish Witch (pagan/Wiccan rituals and practices while trying to convert in person into Judaism). She also was a feminist who wanted to marry a gentleman, but only dated or do things with bad boys, and the gentleman she was set up with who would treat her right and open doors for her, she would turn down for the good manners that she was seeking or turn them down for their appearance. You'd be surprised what you find out there. There are many types of "cases".

You sure gave us one AMAZING deep dive, Adrian!! This is one of my favorite videos you’ve ever done. Your wonderful approach being both sensitive yet understandably upset at the entire situation. Your empathy for the victims, honoring them is beautiful. Your obvious hard research shows as you were able to go deep into the wacked out life of Mauricio in a very nonjudgmental manner (as hard as that may have been) not focusing on just one “issue,” but all. Truly a remarkable coffeehouse crime story!! The officer showed immense bravery saving so many lives by ending this crazed incel’s. Sorry my comment is so long but this video deserves an outstanding review. Thanks for your hard work, Adrian.
This happened near me but didn't know what truly happened. Many were hesitant to go to any of the many malls in the area for awhile. Thanks for covering it!
@@PaulTC97 This is caused by men telling other men what women want in men, men feel like they are not welcome in this rapid progressive world, there needs to be more effort about educating men about their place in society, I luckily grew out of this pitfall a few years ago
This is one of your most captivating videos, and insane! “If men can’t be creators of humanity; then they will be destroyers of it” REALLY speaks volumes for how a lot of them think and the mentality we have to deal with, thanks for this video CHC❤️
If “a lot of men” think like this you wouldn’t be here….y’all don’t get tired of demonizing men at any slightest opportunity. There are also w.omen who have dark and negative thoughts and feelings towards m.en. This is a human problem, not gender.
@@TheNaijaGosiperI agree that it’s a human issue, but it’s still also a gender issue. I feel like the problem with this mindset lies in entitlement. All genders feel entitlement and it makes us act out in selfish, sometimes violent ways; but the way men feel entitlement is often directly connected to things like power, sex, and intimacy. Men, on some level, often feel like they have a right to these things and sometimes they feel resentment when they don’t get them, which leads to angry incel mindsets.
@@tdfmtigBut it is the byproduct of the stereotype after tons of rejection due to the red flags the person has but refuses to seek therapy or work on. They see rejection as hate when in reality, the people they seek just reveal the red flags that are keeping them from dating the incel. Incels literally get angry taking offense to rejection when they wouldn't be rejected if they just worked on what they can. The more red flags they improve, the higher the chances of finding someone who would accept light baggage versus outright rejecting them. Relationships take compromise and a lot of work both on yourself and with the person you're with. It's sad incels are actually a thing, when a lot of it could be improved or prevented with just a little effort and work they just either don't see, in denial of, or outright refuse to do.
The song All Around Me by Flyleaf at 17:55. That song is actually Christian Rock music. 😂 I used to blast their music when I was a young, angry, angsty teenager . Only to find out I was cutting myself while blasting Christian music in the background 😅 I thought I was being so cool and emo, I must say Flyleaf was really genius for all that, they really had us troubled teens singing out for God to help us and none of us knew . 😅 love from South Africa .🇿🇦
I like the format of the video in general, and as usual your respect and compassion for the victims and the hero is top notch. I will say I skipped over some of the footage that the guy filmed, partly because it was shaking but mostly because I didn't want to listen to him for more than a few seconds.
Not really, because he also hates women, yet is obsessed with women, you see all the posters, all the emotions about women he meets and show a small sign of kindness. Mental incels like this guy, lovehate is the same thing
I was painfully awkward as a Young Man, and being half Mexican growing up in a rural Pennsylvania town as the only minority, I was continually marked by racists, in some degrees huge, others subtle. This was less than the greatly when I joined the football team in 5th grade, and began fighting back against those who would call me "sp*c", "chi*k" or "ni**er" (why I'm using asterisks here, when these are slurs used against me seems ludicrous but I guess it's a sign of the times). After breaking the nose of a couple of bullies the taunting ceased, then becoming the MVP of the football team one year led to girls becoming interested. Still my shyness prevailed and my first relationship ended because I didn't kiss her, even though she made it known to her friends and mine that she wanted me to I couldn't simply take the step. It was humiliating. It wasn't until 18 that I got my first kiss (and went all the way on the same night... Hell of a leap, let me tell you) ..... It was still very hard for me to make the first move with a woman through my early twenties, but luckily I was quite charismatic and personable and not bad looking either, if not for that if I have been socially awkward or considered ugly I hate to ponder what might have become of my life. A young man's need for sex is one thing but the need for love acceptance and empathy from a partner is something that's very hard to find elsewhere. I would think this is very similar for young women as well, the last man it's obviously hard for me to completely understand their needs In the same way. I ventured on to America online in the mid-90s when it first started, and developed a few very intense close relationships one of which was never consummated and emotionally tormented me for a long time. Luckily I veered away from internet relationships back to "real world" socialization. If I hadn't it's another pathway that could have branched into a dark area. Now in my 50s having had my wife break up the family after an affair(s) and deliberately keeping the children from me, it's very difficult not to harbor an immense amount of hatred (not so much for her leaving me or cheating on me, but the damage done to my relationship with the children because of it and her subsequent efforts). Put one thing I've learned in life is that hatred brings nothing but misery to you and those in the world around you. Empathy and love are skill that necessitates daily reinforcement. Hatred whether it is racially motivated or gender motivated or for any other reason is so very easy to slide into, especially when one looks at their life and realizes they are alone and have not accomplished what they could have or would have wished to have done. But it is necessary to keep the practice of love and empathy alive within yourself, not only for the value that it gives to the world but for the inner peace that most of us so dearly seek in life.
As a woman my perspective is that the biggest difference between men and women when it comes to the emotions of loneliness is that woman internalise it (this is a generalisation and I know women and men don’t exclusively fit into these categories) the hatred they feel they put on themselves where as with men it’s more commonly to point the hatred outwards and blame the world for their failures or lack of achievement. It’s very scary to see these “incels” get more extreme. In my country 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence and 1 in 5 experience SA. These men wonder why women don’t interact with them but they don’t realise that we are scared of them. We can sense the danger from a mile away because we just have to unfortunately. I don’t think many women would take a chance on men who have these attributes and hatred shown in this video, and it shouldn’t be our responsibility to make them less “lonely” (I’m in no way saying that is what you are talking about in your comment, more a statement on how I feel when incel men say these kind of things) These incels are obviously dangerous and I believe would engage in domestic violence against partners if they were ever to get into a relationship.
Bro wrote a whole bible about breaking a nose getting him a gf and then losing after becoming less aggressive and ends it off with how important love & empathy is????? Chat gpt is more consistent
An incel who’s convinced himself that women are in need of his protection. Apparently convincing himself that women are in need of his copanionship and/or ultimately his manly juices was a bridge too far to travel. A pill too large to swallow.
sorry your video got demonetized, i love your content and your commentary and your content keeps me engaged while i'm at work. thank you for another great video!
There's always a constant with these types. That heavy sense of entitlement. They think life and society owes them something. A relationship or whatever you want to apply. But nothing about them should change. They shouldn't have to put in the work.

@@randomrhino7500not even comparable whatsoever. Look at the Las Vegas mass shooting, do you think someone with a knife could take outs 100 people in minutes without anyone knowing where the stabs were coming from?? I’d MUCH rather someone come at me with a knife than with a gun. With a knife I’d have a chance to engage in self defense, whereas with a gun I’m done in less than a second from 20 feet away :/
@@smears6039 you can definitely take out 10 people in a stabbing spree too but its harder and theres a chance someone can defend themself and disarm the knife from the attacker, cant really do that when guns are ranged. Unless ofcource you advocate for "everyone should have guns for self defence" which is exactly what is causing this problem in America. But yeah guns are metal/plastic tubes with one purpose that is to kill whatever it is you are shooting them at and it makes killing multiple people quickly very easy
I would suspect these In-Cel types recording their homes is a means of thinking that someone will see it, and be super intrigued and reach out (in their damaged minds anyways).
Man it really sucks when little children unfortunately die this way as a parent i would never want to know that pain. I hope the families can find peace one day.
I don’t know what it was about this one but I couldn’t even finish it. It’s just so senseless and stupid. I got the point where you mention two sisters as victims and I can’t help but think about how their parents probably had their whole worlds end in that moment. Great video as always but I can’t bring myself to finish this one. I hate that people like this exist. I hate existing in a society that creates and encourages these types of delusional monsters. This guy had zero self-awareness and lacked even the most basic of critical thinking skills and it’s infuriating that so many lives were destroyed because he couldn’t handle life.
This happened just miles from where I live and I wish I could say it changed things. Unfortunately, people resumed shopping and eating like nothing happened because it feels like that’s how desensitized the state of Texas is to gun violence. It’s quite terrifying if you think about it. Thank you as always for bringing light to this senseless crime.
That’s anywhere not just Texas. People want to have that sense of normalcy even people in war torn countries you’ll see them eating lunch outside with bombs going off half mile down the road.
It’s not just Texas, it’s not even the guns. That happens in Canada, there’s no carry guns here and if there’s a shootout at a mall in Toronto next morning, people are back to usual business. It’s the way life has gone. Messed up.

Incels literally get angry taking offense to rejection when they wouldn't be rejected if they just worked on what they can. The more red flags they improve, the higher the chances of finding someone who would accept light baggage versus outright rejecting them. Adrian, this was so indepth! I love all your videos, but this one seems to stand out👏👏👏
Yes the longer video is so good!

I love you
Finished the video now, great format. I do like the long form better for these true crime topics and cases 👍🏻
As the saying goes ‘it’s the quiet ones you need to look out for’
Yeah ok.. It's just a fancy catchphrase.
Mans voicemail was embarrassing 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was amongst the first 250 subscribers 3 years ago! Love you, Adrian!
Hey man we love you! Thank you for your work, research, going into each video.. And we have to love one another right now. We have to accept ourselves and educate and be forgiving of ourselves so that- we can then hopefully do the same to others.
Much love, from Philadelphia.
