I've said this to multiple people, but vocalists are the best at 30 - 40ish years old, when they've mastered their expression but they haven't lost their voice yet. Look at Bruce Dickinson in Brave New World (eg. "Thin Line Between Love and Hate") and Rock in Rio 2001, or James Hetfield in the Load/ReLoad era (eg. "Bleeding Me"), Dave Mustaine in Youthanasia, and of course Rob here.

what a waste! time proved everything was wrong about that and that venture was only based on lies. In fact the downfall began after this and still going on and now no respect or value left.
This is one of the most blood and guts pumping songs ever. We and my housemates used to do a push up challenge every sunday, and the last time we ever did it, I was listening to this and I won!
Please understand some of us are true musicians that love everything from country, jazz, soul, disco to celtic and so beyond- The true defining rule is great composition and commitment to replicate the sound sent- anyone that rides that wave has my respect and it can't be faked because if so it will be void of the accompanying spirit that owns it ..
Painkiller is just one of those few absolutely flawless metal gems. Throughout the years I've favored pretty much every track on it at some point. For the past few years this has been my fave on the album. Priest and Sabbath are just the greatest to me.

Immense piece, which in my opinion is one of the greatest on the album that I still listen to with a lot of energy mixed with nostalgia. How can I not remember that legendary concert in '91 on the Painkiller tour, where in the front row I was screaming with joy and amazement! I still keep that note pinned to the wall as a relic and I have admired it all my life. Stunning 80s and fantastic my Judas Priest, forever immersed in my most indelible emotions! 🖤🤘🔥
No one was expecting such a masterpiece in the 90s. Let's face it, many metal bands at that time made superb things, but man, this album is totally different even for JP standards which were classified as a hard rock band. No album had such speed, such anger, such talent.
