    This song is so grounding and relevant to our stillness. When we are present we can tap into the subtle voice and nudges of the universe. Thank you to those that are vessels for the truth, and the love we all need to embrace 💗🌊❤️Thank you for telling us the truth of where we come from!!! We are so provided for and beautiful 😘💗

    God bless Nahko, he speaks for so many people, and he's so important to us. I listen to him for hours everyday, every moment is a ceremony and teaching. What a blessing it his to experience our generations greatest singer/songwriter 🙇🙏🏻

      Hmm. Yeah he's got it all doesn't he? The greatest ever. For a great songwriter, he sure does love the Am, F, C, G progression.

      +Ian Klausing Who cares what chord progressions he uses? Music is one way to reach hearts and communicate. If he can find melodies people like and feel comfy with and then add prayerful lyrics that uplift, bind, unite, and draw humanity to a heart centered life, what more could be asked of a musician or any human communication for that matter? Trying to sound smart and superior just makes you sound bitter, jealous, and far removed from everything his music is about,so listen to someone else you like instead.
      I am thankful for every note of Nahko's music. Nothing has ever touched my heart more.

    I have just discovered this musician song writer, and I have been totally blown away by his music and lyrics and spirit. I am a musician song writer and singer myself. I just came back from a folk jam. I'd love to be at a concert like this. I know the words Mitakuye Oyasin well, they are sacred words, a mantra and a great prayer.

    Mitakuye Oyasin has become a spiritual mantra for me since I learned it's meaning several years ago. It is a powerful prayer that transcends any creed or ethnic origin, not unlike OM, Amazing Grace or other spiritual powerful words. Words are powerful transformative utterances, able to create or destroy. I am back to this video as I needed shot of Nahko's spiritual perspective and honest story telling. He is real and it come through his music and lyrics - Ah Ho!

      What does it mean?

    • @wbworkout
      @wbworkout 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mssvattk Mitakuye Oyasin is Lakota for "All my relations." The expression is a statement of one's awareness of the connection between one's self and all humanity and all creations.We are all related and connected in some way. Our relatives include even the animals and plants and yet, even the earth it self.

      @@wbworkout Where did you get that definition?

    • @wbworkout
      @wbworkout 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mssvattk The commentary is mine. Mitakuye Oyasin loosely translated is all my relations which is an affirmation of the connectedness to not just our human relations but all life, mall animals, and all plant life and spiritual beings.

    Can anyone tell me what that song is at around 5:35 where he's saying "I'm an architect in the moment I will build it from the ground" It sound like a beautiful song...

  • @bradleychandler8512
    @bradleychandler8512 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mitakuye oyas’in. It’s Lakota, and has different translations. “All my relations” and “we are all related” together sum it up best, I feel. The two-leggeds, the four-leggeds, and the winged people.. we are all related, we are all the children of Mother Nature and Wakaŋ Taŋka, The Great Spirit and The Great Mystery.
    There is no more important message in the world than mitakuye oyas’in.

    Everyone is just so "blown away" by a musician that uses the same chord progression and virtually the same melody for most of his material. The winning formula, using "we" to unify the listeners, manifested flaccid ego for the purpose of appearing humble and a little bit of preaching to the tune of relative minor change ups. So this is where all the Dave Matthews and grateful dead fans end up...knocko crow and the medicine show... Or something like that. I will say this, knock-0 has a pretty bitchin tour bus...satin black paint, multi-level fully furnished modern interior, the works . And he can afford to keep it idling with the a/c blasting during the whole show. Such an eco-warrior! The guy is a fucking joke, keep feeding into this sage brush bullshit. I guarantee even he doesn't believe the crap he claims to stand for.

      Ian Klausing: Honest question for you. Can you recommend to me another musician with such uplifting content? Because that is more important to me than chord progression.

    • @cocowens1
      @cocowens1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ian... I have thought on some of these things you bring up..
      I was hoping that Nahko wouldn't sell out... I'm still holding out hope. But money talks man. I guess we will have to hold off and watch to see what he does with it all. See if his messages change, sound changes, etc... which are pretty good determiners of who is pulling the strings... I still believe the original intention of Nahkos words came from his heart and his life story. And I am grateful for this...
      So for now, I say "fuck the haters " in my best Nakho voice. And carry on Ian. Go listen to some radio BS... that should give ya something to do..
      PEACE
