Thank you Shawn! So many people ask me to slow my videos down....I shoot using time-lapse so that I can capture the entire build in around 3 minutes. Otherwise it would be so long no one would watch it. I've advised watching it at slower speed. It's so nice to hear from someone who figured that out. :-) Take care Dan
Awesome work as always, Dan! I like how the colors of the internal lights contrast with the overall dark color scheme. Very menacing. Great texture work on the head and neck of the piece too.
YOUR BACK!!!! I'm so glad that your still doing videos and these amazing projects! We recently bought a house and now I have a work space for projects like this :) :) :) You are truly an inspiration Dan! Thanks again, I think you just made my weekend lol!

What a beautiful dragon! It's been a while since you posted- I was ever so excited when I saw this video pop up on my subs! :) Can't wait to see you up and making again, I might even have a go myself.
Awesome ! Dan its a real beauty, I like the added electronics as it suits this sort of thing ( nice touch ) Hey looking pretty cool with the facial hair man , and I bet those cats get up to heaps of trouble with your art supplies etc lol
Thanks Brian! I'm just got lazy about shaving. Yes, my little torty keeps hiding my paint brushes! You could see in the video how she is fascinated with my painting. Luckily she hasn't gotten into any wet paint.
Fantastic work Dan. I came across your dragons and your amazing talent on facebook. I did a bit of searching and found you on here too. I'm just waiting for your book to drop in to my letterbox and then I can start making the dragons. Keep up the amazing work mate.
Very good! I'm almost done with my carnivorous plant that I started making because of you:) I will make a picture of it when it's done and send it to you!
Excellent!! Glad you are enjoying the medium. Yes, I'd love to see what you make, maybe even post a photo on my website if you are interested. Take care Dan
You are very sweet. Thank you! And yes, my new little helpers are really fun. We got them after my beloved Max died (unexpectedly). Eddie really needed company. We got them at different shelters. We are very happy we got them. Take care Dan
Glad to see a new video from you, amazing as usual! I'm also happy to see that your new assistants really do assist you... what would you do without them 4?! Nice beard BTW! :D
Thank you as always! Yes, my new helpers are wonderful. Max died unexpectedly from an illness that no one could diagnose. Then Eddie quit eating, we think partly because he missed Max. We got the kittens to give Eddie some company. And it really helped. He's doing well again, and the kittens fill up the house. Thanks! PS. I quit shaving when Eddie got sick. Now I'm just lazy! :-)

I have a urgent question! So im currently building a mounted paper mache dragon and i wanted to know , how do you mount the neck when it already has paper mache on it?
I don't mount the neck until it has paper mache on it. I drill holes in the wood plaque and run pieces of wire clothes hanger through them. Then I'll make a little hook at the end and push it into the mached neck and cover with masking tape. I bend the wire on the back of the wood plaque and secure to the wood with U staples (for electrical wire). I then do more sculpting on the neck and finally add my cloth mache so that the wire is covered. You can see a glimpse of this process at the 1:00 mark on this video, th-cam.com/video/_37uwY2njss/w-d-xo.html. Good luck!
I love the grand turismo 4 soundtrack that you used, so many good memories were brought back thanks to you also amazing job, I'm sorry that it is being stolen on facebook
Thank you Gonzalo. Have you seen stolen on Facebook lately? I've been trying to stay on top of that with copyright complaints. But sometimes I miss them. I appreciate the nice comment. Dan
Thank you. I add a "skin" of cloth (bed sheets torn into strips) dipped in white glue. These particular scales are made with commercial "Celluclay" mixed with toilet paper and white glue (that I make into a dough like clay). Dan
